Random Blank Screens on Bigbox

Odd issue with random blank marquee or main display in BigBox.

When BigBox first opens everything is fine, it starts in Platform category view & I can move between game sections (Favourites, Arcade, Consoles, Handhelds etc.) and the marquee properly displays the correct banner as it should and everything is 100%.

Now if I go to a sub-page - say the ‘console’ page that has N64, NES, NeoGeo etc. when moving between menu items, the marquee randomly shows a black screen 30% of the time.  Also on return to the top menu (Platform category view), that is now also corrupted and starts randomly showing black marquee images until I restart BigBox.

Very occasionally when returning to a different page the whole screen will be black & will no longer show until BigBox is restated - ironically though when this happens the marquee does show.

I have tried different themes including default, disabling videos, disabling platform images, rebuilding the image cache’s, used Windows Shell, used BigBox Shell, with/without Joy2Key and nothing has worked.

***Update***

The Marquee having the issue is a red herring - I have now ran BigBox without the marquee enable and the issue is that I am getting random black screens in general.  All is OK for a while but then at some point at a screen load I will get a black screen.  Once that particular page (ie. platform category view) goes black, it will stay black however other pages may or may not display.
