Jaek DGX Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) So - I want to start my first cab build (as I've indicated) and I decided to start with a favorite from my youth - Dragon's Lair So I wanted to get the best quality and best available retail games to get the game content er...from... So I was thinking that perhaps I should buy a copy of the 20th Anniversary Edition - since it supposedly has footage that never used in the original game But - an older forum on a different site had a post saying that the video was "darker" and not as clear - and the audio had a noticeable "hiss" and "cracks" from time to time Also - when shopping for a 20th Anniversary Edition to buy - I noticed some versions had what looked like 3 DVD cases - once for each game - and other editions had 4 CD-Roms I asked someone who was selling a version with 4 CD-Roms about this - He said - ' ''DVD content + PS2 & Xbox only versions of the game. As far as I can tell the one that was released for the PC was only available in the set that I have with the loose discs '' So - now I don't know what to think. Does the edition with the 3 "DVDs" have better game content - or more to the point - better looking game content - IE - Higher quality Video" ...or is it the same on the CD-Rom set (which I have to say - might not "look" better - but usually on eBay - sells much cheaper... Moreover - is there a particular method of extracting the content from the DVD versions that would be different from the CD-Rom versions..... ...Or again ...Should I buy the 20th Anniversary at all? Is it ACTUALLY worse in terms of the quality of the Video? For most games - deliberations like these may not matter - but this is a game that in terms of what you're looking at - is ALL video content - and I would want it to be the very best - I mean, for crying out loud - there is also in fact a Blu-Ray version of the game to consider as well (perhaps) - is that video "upscaled" or something close to 1080p? to some extent.... Sigh....very confused. If anyone is familiar with Dragon's Lair on any or all of these issues - and can offer any advice and/or suggestions - as well possibly solid information that would help me decide on which version of the game would be best for my "Mame Dragons' Lair" cabinet - I'd be eternally grateful Thanks in advance ~ Jaekib Edited Sunday at 05:34 AM by Jaek DGX text missing Quote
