VodkaParalyzer Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Hey everyone, I'm trying to set up a network share on my Android device to my local PC, just to see how it works. I've shared my games folder on my local PC, even created a dedicated account just for this purpose. When I go to Import Games on my Android device, select Import Games, Network Share, I see my local PC and select it. It then prompts me to enter Username and Password. I've tried the name of the dedicated account, my admin account, my LaunchBox account, everything that I can think of, but all fail. I've confirmed that the passwords that I'm entering are all correct as well. In the How To, it mentions entering your network username and password but I'm not sure what else this could be referring to. What am I missing here 🤔 My local PC is running Windows 11 with the latest updates and trying to connect from an Android device running Android 13 Edited January 23 by VodkaParalyzer Quote
VodkaParalyzer Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 Figured it out. I had to add my IP to AVG 1 Quote
laradario000 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago This feature is really useful, but the setup can get confusing if you’re not familiar with SMB sharing or Windows permissions. Most issues people run into usually come down to credentials or firewall/network access blocking the connection between Android and PC. One thing that helped me was double-checking the Windows shared folder permissions and making sure both devices are on the same network. Also, using the correct Windows username (not just display name) is important when LaunchBox asks for login details. Quote
