I'm sharing this guide for anyone who, like me, is looking to combine authentic visuals with modern convenience and universality on a single emulation PC.

GameMaze is a detailed setup guide for turning a Windows PC into a dedicated emulation console using BigBox as the foundation, and designed specifically for modern HDMI scalers and flat panels.

The core ideas are:

• Unified frontend: BigBox integration with gamepad-only navigation—no keyboard or mouse needed
• Native resolution output: Games run at their original resolutions (tested 160p–1080p) via digital HDMI, preserving authentic visuals while leveraging modern hardware
• Seamless switching: Launch 240p arcade classics (Street Fighter II) in original resolution and modern 1080p titles (Elden Ring) from the same couch-based interface
• Full hardware coverage: RetroArch, standalone emulators, and Steam integration with unified controls, with one machine which runs any system in its true original resolution
