How do I get backgrounds to show up in Platform View in BigBox / Unified Redux theme?

Installed Unified Redux theme and really like it overall, but how do I get it so that the screen isn't black while in platform view? Photo attached for reference. This is in "Nintendo Entertainment System" if that matters. Thank you.
