MAME or ROMs not loading

I have downloaded 122 non merged ROMs from Myrient (after I checked on the Arcade Database that they are good files) and paid for Premium Launchbox. When I try to use the wizard to import the full MAME set  it says "The specified folder does not contain a full MAME ROM set"....???? Do I have to use the Import ROMs from files wizard? What platform am I importing for? Arcade?? (all my ROM files are classic arcade games)...When I try that I have to choose an emulator, What is the application path? Do I have to install MAME before doing this? Do I then point it to the MAME.exe file, or?? 

 

UPDATE....I just tried downloading MAME .281 (the ROMs I got from Myrient are dated 9/28/2025, and MAME crashes as soon as I launch it......sigh.....so frustrating!!!
