Looking for guidance on mame setup

Hoping I get the help I need as I miss my arcade. Its been way to long since I got to play Wonderboy!!

I have just downloaded romset 0.288(merged) along with the mame version 0.288

I am unsure about moving forward from here to make sure launchbox uses these newer versions. Previous was 0.277

Any help in getting my arcade back up and running would be awesome please guys.

EDIT: currently running Launchbox version 13.27

ok...apologies to everyone...I chatGPT on what to do and have looked to hopefully made some progress.

It seems some games are now working and possibly just a few tweaks here and there.  

I'll post up addition help as required.
