tonizuc Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Hello everyone. I’m new to PS2 emulation and have started learning how AetherSX2 works. I keep seeing discussions about BIOS files, regions, and compatibility, which has left me wondering whether I need different BIOS files for different games. Can a single properly configured BIOS handle a large collection of PS2 games, or are there situations where switching BIOS versions is useful? I’m mainly interested in understanding the technical side of the emulator rather than constantly changing settings. If someone has experience with AetherSX2, could you explain how the BIOS interacts with games and whether choosing a particular BIOS region actually matters for everyday use? Quote
