Sleek

Sleek is a modern dark-mode theme for LaunchBox Desktop, built around a Midnight Glass / dark navy style.

It replaces the default Desktop layout with a cleaner horizontal top rail, a redesigned Game Details view, smoother navigation for large libraries, and improved responsive layouts across the main sections.

Installation

  1. Download and extract the zip.
  2. Place the Sleek folder here: 
LaunchBox\LBThemes\Sleek
  1. In LaunchBox, go to: 
Tools > Options > Visuals > Theme
  1. Select Sleek.

If Windows blocks the included plugin DLL, right-click the DLL, open Properties, and choose Unblock.

Recommended Dialog Theme colors

For best results, set LaunchBox’s Dialog Theme colors under: 

Tools > Options > Visuals > Dialog Theme
Accent:     #4EA3FF
Highlight:  #123A6A
Background: #071425
Border:     #1D3A5F
Foreground: #E8EEF7
Contrast:   0.37

Notes

This theme is for LaunchBox Desktop, not Big Box.

Credits

Sleek is based on the Big Details theme, with extensive redesign work.

Version 1.1.0 focuses on polish, navigation, and Platform Category support.

  • Fixed carousel animation target paths that could cause LaunchBox theme crashes.

This is still a LaunchBox Desktop theme, not a Big Box theme.

Special thanks to the LaunchBox community for the feedback on Platform Category navigation. That was the main focus of this update.

turn this into a BigBox theme please! This is exactly what I've been looking for for ages... Something sleek and cohesive, that makes BigBox feel like a new console ifywim

Thanks for sharing this with the community!  I'm not usually one for change, but I'm actually kind of liking this. Well done.  I really like the color scheme you use.  A fresh new face for LaunchBox.

Suggestions:

  • Add tooltips for the platform icons on the top row showing which platform you're about to click.
  • Add a horizontal scrollbar for the bottom half when in List View.
  • Retain view in top half when switching games.  e.g. 'Overview'
    • Or maybe (somehow?) add a lock feature of sorts so if you're viewing Overview and you switch games it'll show the overview of the 'new' game instead of reverting to Home. Or if 'unlocked', goes to Home when switching.
  • When in Images View, (somewhere?) show the name of the platform.
    • Relating to bullet #1, I have 2 "Arcade" type platforms (Arcade and Arcade Lightguns) and they're both using the same Arcade clear logo and icon.
    • I do however see that it does show it when clicking Overview.
    • And yes, I should probably 'fix' my media on my end. ;)
  • Widen the LICENSED TO box (or set width="auto" ?).
    • My licensed name is wider than allotted by the box width. And I don't mind seeing my full name. :D

Surpised there a very few downloads for this one, a nice little theme, reminds me a lot of BIG DETAILS.

Let me know if there are any other updates/things yall think can be done better.

Hey !

Great job ! I really like this theme ! Probably switch to it.

Some suggestions :

- In this view, i would prefer to display the video if available on the right part of the screen rather than box (which could be on the left part, as this space seems unused/ i really like the slider effect when the box appears, gj !)

- The clear logo, seems to take too much space, especially on the platform view. It makes information bottom barely lisible on this "home" view. I think i'd prefer to see the "most/last/random played games" much clearer and reduce the size of the logo. the proportion of each item should be review.

- the "recomended/similar... games" section doesn't seem to work with this theme (whereas it works with other themes)

- On the bottom part of the screen, the badges take too much space, i think i'd prefer to see them directly on the box image (like in image below). And maybe add the possibility to remove the developer below the title of the game. With these two changes, we should gain enough space to display two lines of games wich is better in my opinion.

- There is no possibilities to pop-out the game or i didn't find it. (I mean the function wich open the game details in a new window)

 

Again, great job, i really like this theme ! I apologize if my english is not so good, doing my best as it's not my maternal langage :).

one of the best themes i found for launch box defiantly it needs some work to be perfect.

can you make play button more green

recommend and similar games not working
