  1. If the user is importing roms into separate subfolders then the media/images takes the name of the subfolder as an input and if the subfolder name is different then the rom filename the media will not show up because the filename of image is different than rom filename. The same issue is when LB is determining the duplicated games - compares the subfolder name which in result the game which is not duplicate can not be imported (or you can force duplicate to import). Steps to reproduce: 1. Choose the option in tools to Import roms 2. Add Files (in my case Nintendo Game Boy roms) 3. Choose platform (in my case Nintendo Game Boy) and emulator 4. On the next screen choose the option "Move the files into my LaunchBox games folder" 5. Use only Search for game information from the LaunchBox Games Database (recommended), wikipedia is not chosen 6. Choose all of the images both from default and EmuMovies. 7. On the next screen except default values choose also "Copy/move files into subfolders named with the game's title and year". 8. Problem 1: Note that after import couple of games don't have images shown like for example: - Alien 3 - probably because of the subfolder created is named Alien 3(in superscript) and rom file is named Alien 3 without superscript and Image is named like subfolder (with superscript) - Aladdin - same issue as above - Asterix and Obelix - same issue as above 9. Problem 2: Note that after import couple of roms were not imported because LB analyze it as a duplicate like: - Cyraid couldn't be imported - probably because of the subfolder created is named Cyraid but it contains only Japan version of rom named "Bakuretsu Senshi Warrior (Japan)" and LB couldn't import the usa version called "Cyraid (USA)". - Castlevania Legends - same issue as above Problem 1. can be solved by reimporting media for specific game or overall after the import from tools. Optionally user can also clean up the improper media byc choosing "Clean Up Media" option. Problem 2. can be solved by additionally choosing the option (from step 7.) to force duplicate roms import. Optionally user can also combine the games together and have one position in game library.
  2. Of course I did that, it's not a problem at all if you know how it is working , but normally by intuition the user can expect that it will also be deleted. I only just wanted to put the information so the users can now about it.
  3. I would like to notify that Clean Up Media feature is not working when you will delete all the games from the platform (or the platform with all games). Preconditions 1. Couple of games imported for one of the platforms (in my example Nintendo Game Boy) with images/media present (covers, boxes etc.). Steps to reproduce 1. Delete all of the games from platform which is equal to platform delete (in my case I deleted all of the games from Nintendo Game Boy) then if no game the platform will dissapear which is ok 2. Launch Clean Up Media functionality from tools 3. After finished procedure of deleting unnecessary media note that they are still present on hdd in Launchbox/Images/Nintendo Game Boy/ (for example Box - Front) If you will import back at least one game and then you will use Clean Up Media again then everything works correctly and unnecessary images will be deleted.
  4. Hi, I have a couple of question to ask about mame in LB mainly: 1. As far as I understood if LB does not have the new mame metadata for the new version of mame/rom set (like for 0.212) than the new games will not be imported or they will be imported but the game information will be lacking and you will be still able to launch a new game from the library? 2. How can you check what is the current version of mame metadata in LB and for which version of mame? Can you download those metadata somewhere? For example version 0.212. 3. Since the new importer of mame rom sets in LB (version 8.6 where the feature was introduced) the problem with importing merged rom sets is obsolete meaning there is no problem of importing merged and you don't have to use split rom pack? Thank you in advance for the anwers.
