Does a 8BitDo controller work with RetroArch?
I can use the controller with other systems but none that use retroarch.

Systems like that and also PS3 are going to cost way more to emulate than they are to buy real hardware (most people already have the hardware and see what they can get away with emulating on it, they don usually buy hardware to specifically emulate a platform), that's just the nature of emulation, NES needed a powerful PC when those emulators first appeared, and things haven't changed in that regard, you need hardware many times more powerful than the hardware you intend to emulate.
I hear you. Im going to get off the idea of having Switch in my emulation project for now.

Thanks for the reply, I just cant justify buying a dedicated graphics card for 400+ when the system I am trying to emulate cost that much. Havent looked for the 1030 tho

Sure. Thx. when I am in the console select no video plays. When im in game select no video plays for the game. Not sure If i have to get the videos and put them in. on ETA`s YT videos his just look different.. like his console select icons.

It works now. I reinstalled MAME and it works now. Would like to know what the issue was.

Had mame working but haven't used it in like 3 weeks.. I opened it today and all it does is show the initializing screen and closes ? I dont know if its the 9.3 update or something else.

An APU is just a CPU with a graphics chip built in. The graphics power is not as good as a decent dedicated video card but it does work and the Ryzen integrated video is better than Intels by a large margin.
I want to build something that can do up too the PS2 with no issues.

Dont know if this goes in the NOOBS but whatever lol ... I need a controller and I really like the 8BitDo controllers cuz it has to look nice but do they work with LB? Also why do some ppl use it with retroarch?! for the easy setup of controllers?

Ok so I created the mame.ini file and edited it to skip the game info screen some games dont play saying "there are known problems with this machine" but im happy I got a step further and learned . Thx for the help LordMunkus
