  1. Thanks I got a better idea of whats going on after digging back into it. my existing mame directory sits in D:\launch\mame thats where my roms and artwork and cfg sit. When I run this new auto full set importer it creates a new directory under emulater called D:\launchbox\emulators\mame .240 and install the new mame there and does not copy the new roms into the rom folder under said new mame folder or any of the artwork. Might just update this a different way.
  2. I need some help with my launchbox. I have had my arcade cabinet in storage for a year while my house got some work done. When I hooked it back up I decided to update launchbox to current. Everything works ok but I decided to update my rom set from 219 to 240. I downloaded a full .240 non merged set and renamed my old roms folder in my mame folder D:\launchbox\mame and place the 240 roms in its placed named roms(D:\launchbox\mame\roms) I ran the full import tool choosing .240 and running the auto download and import. Once finished everything seems to work except my bezels are now not loading when the game plays. I do see the artwork folder with everything in it. I tried running Bezel project again and that did not help. Before doing all this I made a backup of my entire launchbox folder and restored it back and my bezels showed back up but now Im back to .219. Im trying to figure out what IM doing workgwhen running the mame importer inside launch box thats causing my bezels to not load. I have not touch launchbox in about a year so I have forgotten alot of the ins and outs.
  3. Headrush69 thanks thats what I needed I hit tab selected a different option then what was selected and bezel appeared. Im trying to learn all this on my own but this was stumping me a little. All good here just waiting on my recroommasters now.
  4. So I have been updating my bezels with the mame games I enjoy playing and I have run into a couple that will not display bezels. Im very sure this might be a mame issue as they do not display when I try to run them from Mame exe. One for example is punchout will not display a bezel. I have a folder called punchout under D:\launchbox\mame\artwork and the lay file looks correct and the bezel png named punchout in the artwork folder like all the other working bezels. I also took a folder say galaga which works and renamed it as punchout to see if it would show the galaga bezel and no galaga images appeared when running puchout so I dont think it is a lay issue or syntak or the galaga image bezel should of appeared. so not sure where to look at this point. I posted a question in mame forms but no responses. Has anyone else run into this and what was the solution inside mame. Just started using this about a month ago so very much a noob but I do understand how to read lay files. I do have the bezel project installed and Im aware that if the name png file is not there it defaults to a hortizontal or vertical and even that does not happen for punchout its just black on both sides.
  5. Thanks did a little reading and I understand the nag stuff. I appreciate the response been building out my LaunchBox/Bigbox which I really love so I can add it to my arcade cabinet I ordered.
  6. I followed eta primes video and took ROMs out them in Mame rom folder and then stuck entire folder in LaunchBox. For example when I run donkey Kong I get this error which when I role past it plays but sound sometimes is missing. Have not heard anything on Mame forum yet. Galaga plays to after a bunch of strange video bootup. It just says there are errors. If you are not seeing any of this wonder if I should scrap all Mame and start over.
  7. So building out LaunchBox for first time and have loaded many ROMs from many different systems with no issues. I left Mame for last and loaded version .207b and an entire .207 split rom set. Go to launch my favorite two arcade games Donkey Kong which errors ROMs not dumped which I did add sample sounds. Second was galaga which halos error. My question is where there previous rim versions of mama that worked. I did post over in Mame forum as well but thought surely these two games are popular in LaunchBox as well.
