Yeah, just tested after disabling "Scale Steam Overlay text and icons to match monitor settings" as suggested and it does indeed seem to fix the issue! Usually very easy to get the bug to work for me; I've tried scrolling through menus, entering/backing out of options in BigBox mode, starting up a game - all the usual suspects basically that seem to cause the issue to appear - and no issues so far. Huge help, thanks so much for posting!

Exact same issue here unfortunately; false restart of Steam Big Picture at seemingly random intervals requiring an Alt+tab to get back to BigBox, very odd! Scrolling through menus or starting up a game seems to trigger it most frequently on my end, though I've it happen if BigBox is left idle after launching through Steam Big Picture also. Not found any solutions or answers as to why this may be happening, but I've used Big Picture/BigBox in tandem for years without issue so it appears to be a recent issue.
