  1. Well the problem doesn't seem to be in naming and identifying the games, it's in importing them all instead of just one. For example if I drag all the Simpsons games over it only imports one. However if I drag over an individual game, it will import it no matter which one it is. But all of them together and it will ignore all the files but one. "force import using MAME metadata for emulators other than MAME that use MAME data" is the precise setting that causes this behavior. If I uncheck this then all the files import but it only recognizes some. If I could use a DAT file for reference that would be perfectly acceptable as those are available. Is there no way for it to import multiple MAME files of the same name and compile them together, as it does with console games? I don't understand why it would disregard all but one file no matter what options I have checked.
  2. Currently I have a Finalburn Neo set that I'd like to put in its own catagory. I started a platform and named it Finalburn Neo. To test out the settings I grabbed about 15 files, all different variations of Street FIghter Alpha 3- the US version, Japanese, Hispanic, etc. and drug them over to Launchbox. What I would LIKE to happen would be to prioritize the North American version but have all clones accessible as additonal apps or in some way accessible from the game listing in Launchbox. However, no matter what setting I put in the ROMs import section or the MAME metadata section it only imports one game- Street Fighter Alpha 3 Hispanic. I have it set to prefer North America and to add duplicates and to add clones but it still only imports that one file. What am I doing wrong? Edit: I've discovered if I don't associate the platform with MAME or scraping as arcade, it will indeed import every game, but not every game will have the name properly identified for scraping. This is quite a puzzle and seems broken. It is doing the same thing for my MAME2003 games I'm trying to import into Arcade.
  3. Okay I have an update. I was looking in the wrong location for the M3U file. So when I load Night Trap from Launchbox it does indeed create an M3U file that contains Disc 1 and Disc 2. However nothing happens beyond that, Retroarch does not load. A regular single disk CHD game does load from Launchbox, however.
  4. Ahh yes I get you. No it was loaded directly from the UI. I successfully got multi-disk games to load from the playstation (Mednafen I believe) and dreamcast (Flycast) systems from within Launchbox however. I didn't check that an M3U is generated but it must be as I am able to use the disc navigation hotkeys.
  5. Well I haven't tried adding the M3U itself to Launchbox but I can try it, that may be a viable workaround. I'd prefer if Launchbox's built in generator worked, but since Sega CD doesn't have a ton of multi-disc games that's worth a try. Loading the M3U through the Retroarch UI definitely works, however. One downside to loading the M3U through Launchbox is that you wouldn't have the ability to load a disc beyond Disc 1, as far as I know, without loading the game then changing disc
  6. Well I don't know what to say to that, because I'm loading up an M3U I made myself of Night Trap, and it not only loads but I can switch from one disc to another. It just works from Retroarch only right now, from "load content" and not when using Launchbox's built in M3U setup as far as I can tell
  7. I can get an M3U to load from within Retroarch with the Genesis Plus GX core but not when loading from Launchbox. I've put the check next to the system/core to enable M3U. When I import CHD files into PS1 or Dreamcast and enable M3U, both work perfectly and the games load and I can change from one disc to another with hotkeys. However while I can get a CHD to load by itself from launchbox in Sega CD, an M3U does nothing. Any tips for what could be the problem?
  8. I'd like to import a MAME2003-Plus set, but when I add it through the MAME importer, there's a ton of random files at the end that clearly aren't games. Am I using the wrong process?
  9. Is Platform Fan Backgrounds the only way to do this in Big Box? It's very tedious copying the same file to every platform directory every time I want to have a different background. Also I have to delete all my background fan art for the game list to show a static image. Is there a better way for this yet?
  10. I'm using CriticalZoneV2 Bluebox. Below you can see in the SNES platform the boxes are flat. I've assigned a controller button to switch view types, and it lets me change them to whatever I want in all the platforms. However, in the Favorites Playlist, it does not affect the views of the boxes and they are stuck in 3D. I've tried changing them in Launchbox but it has no effect. Is there a setting or file somewhere I can edit that changes this? Also, is there a way to globally set the view type for all platforms?
