  1. I don't use a lock code in BigBox but thanks for the tip.
  2. Thanks for your comments. I was able to find a little app that forces the system to sleep on a timer you can set to your choosing: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AmaHAXM9ZhPhaYN972FkhyTLHO8 Sorry, I couldn't find the original forum that this link was posted on but the one I used was System Sleeep. There are a few others that do the same thing. Thanks.
  3. Hi folks, Thanks for the 9.10 update. However I noticed that since installing it my PC will no longer go into sleep mode when BigBox is running. Use to be with 9.9 that my PC would go to sleep after a bit of inactivity (even with BigBox running). I could wake it up by tapping the spacebar and it was ready to go. Is there a setting that I am missing? Thanks, MM
  4. Hi Rincewind, Actually what I did was to set a negative left boundary, effectively placing all of the boxes that were to the left of the selected box off the canvas. This worked a treat I am still having trouble resizing the boxes though. I thought that the ItemZPosition and the SelectedItemZPosition were the properties to change but they don't seem to do anything. Are these the right properties to modify? Thanks, MM
  5. Hi folks, I made an interesting discovery. Not sure if it holds for all themes but I noticed that I get the "Invalid Markup" errors when I load a downloaded theme into Visual Studio (even though it is in my themes directory). But if I go and install the same theme into Bigbox using the built in theme installer I don't get the errors. I just thought I would post this in case others have this issue. MM
  6. Hi, I am enjoying theming and learning alot. I am trying to use the coverflow with ImageType="Boxes" and I wanted to know if there is a way to make the selected game be in the leftmost position (instead of centered) so that is is the first in the coverflow. I looked in the forums but didn't find anything. Forgive me if this was already answered. Thanks, MM
  7. Hi folks, Having lots of fun learning to code Bigbox themes. It reminds me a bit of bootstrap, with the columns and rows layout. So I am using viking's StationEmulation theme as a jumping off point and I am making some simple mods to his WheelGamesView.xaml. I was able to get the screenshot pic sized and enlarged the way I like with playing with the column and row position and spans but I also want to get the cover art left justified so it aligns with the ScrollableTextBlock. I tried a few things but nothing seems to be working. Can anyone help? This is what I have: UPDATE: I got it sussed. By narrowing the Grid.Columnspan property and adding HorizontalAlignment="Left" I was able to get what I wanted. Thanks, MM
  8. Hi folks, I have seen a bunch of themes where the platform view (or the main view before you go into the games) is broken down by a list of game systems. I would love to kow how this is done. Is there a filter that has to be applied? Do I have to edit the individual games metadata? Right now my main view shows only Arcade (my M.A.M.E. games) and Windows platforms. Thanks in advance for any help. Best, MM
  9. I like the idea of a theme editor. Can't wait to see what @y2guru comes up with. I use Sublime Text for coding. It's a lot like Notepad++ which I like too but for me, Sublime Text is what I am used to.
  10. Thanks everybody for you responses. Per your advice I opted for the default theme instead of CriticalZoneV2 and no errors. Excited about creating now
  11. Nobody? Really? Oh, man this sucks. I have tried it on 2 separate computers with the same result. Man, I am bummed
  12. So I am having some trouble out of the gate. I am trying to follow the first tutorial but first I got the "Invalid Markup" error. I solved this by adding references as described in another thread. Now I am getting the following exception error: An error occurred while finding the resource dictionary "pack://siteoforigin:,,,/Themes/CriticalZoneV2 - Default/Styles/UserControlStyle.xaml". I searched around but couldn't find a solution to this error. Sadly I have not been able to successfully open any views yet Thanks for any help you guys can offer. MM
  13. Lordmonkus, OMG, BigBox mode! I had no idea! I bought this for Launchbox, never even giving much thought to what BigBox was but this is just what I was looking for. Thanks!
  14. Thanks! I started looking at the tutorials from the screenshot in your first post and I will look at the docs you posted also. That is plenty to get me started. I like that I can use Visual Studio to work on the themes. This is very cool
  15. Hi JoeViking245, Thanks for the quick reply. I looked but there was no .pdf in that folder. FWIW, I looked in the C:\Users\<USERNAME>\LaunchBox\Themes folder. Is this what you were referring to? Thanks, MM
  16. Hi folks, I looked around here and in the YouTube tutorials but there didn't appear to be much there. Where can I find info on how to get started with creating themes? Thanks, MM
  17. Hi all, Just got the premium license and exploring/getting used to all the features. One thing I noticed is that when using a game controller, the d-pad moves the focus through all of the sections of the app screen. Is there a way to make it only move through the games so that I can use it to select a game and then use one of the gamepad buttons to start the game? Thanks, MM
