  1. Thank you so much. I just turned everything on and it just worked. No messing around needed. Games look phenomenal. Definitely a worthy purchase. Really glad NVIDIA cards work with freesync now.
  2. Hey There, New to the forums, but not MAME. After 4 years of being away i am back with a new arcade cab and so much has changed. One of the main things being, i now have a Freesync monitor and now Nvidia cards with Freesync as well as Gsync. From what i understand this is amazing for MAME because it lets you run each game at its native framerate without tearing. I am just trying to figure out how all the settings should be for it to work right? I have a viewsonic XG2402 which says it needs to be in 144hz mode to use and activate freesync. I assume i turn 144hz on in windows, turn 144hz on in the monitor OSD menu. Turn Gsync on in the Nvidia menu. And is that it? Does anything need to be configured with MAME itself (version 211)? Also if the monitor is set to 144hz, does that mean games can run UP TO 144hz but also run at less hz if the game is pumping out a lower framerate? For example MAME uses many different framerates because each arcade was different. Thus each game running in MAME will send out its native framerate and the monitor set to 144hz will run at whatever speed MAME is telling it to? Thanks so much for any advice,
