  1. I'm still waiting for my cabinet to arrive but I was thinking about how the controls would be mapped out for each game. This controller will have six buttons for both players and being that I'll have a bunch of different arcade games set up on this, is there a quick way to see what the controls are for each game and/or how they're mapped out on your controller for the game that's being selected? I tried researching this and I saw some mention that it helps to have the manuals downloaded from emumovies, but when I scraped for that, a lot of games don't seem to have manuals and the ones that do still require you to browse through a pdf to find the controls which doesn't seem very convenient. I suppose I can always push each button and figure it out, but a visual representation of it on screen would be nice
  2. The "Platform Category" mode did the trick. Thanks guys
  3. I'm not seeing those options when I right click on the platform.
  4. I'm trying to organize all the arcade systems into their own category like in the video, but I'm not seeing that option. Has it been changed in the newer versions?
  5. I see. In that case, I'll stick with what's available Thanks
  6. Is there a way to get this theme onto bigbox? If not, what's the closest theme available that has a zoomed out pic of the cabinet like in the video here? I downloaded the coinops redux theme and, although it looks great, it's not quite the same.
  7. I'm not sure what happened, but when I originally installed bigbox, I coulda sworn it was working, but now no video or animations are showing up for any of the systems I have regardless of which theme I choose. I also noticed none of the games have any animations as I'm going through the list. Of the ones I looked at, they're just screenshots of the title screen. The picture below shows the black screen I'm talking about. I'm able to scroll through the systems but nothing else shows up. I uninstalled it and installed a fresh copy with no luck. Any help would be appreciated!
  8. So far, the Xbox 360 I had works ok, but after using it for a bit, I just remembered how much I disliked the dpad on it. I do have the wireless nes classic controller from 8bitdo that I used on the nes mini and it’s worked great. I haven’t purchased the SN30 pro yet and am leaning towards that, but I’ll look at the other options listed before making the plunge. Thanks for all the input.

I ended up getting the adapter and 2.0 cable and it worked. Thanks for the help guys

It looks like it does. It's a UHD 610 (G4920 CPU)

    4K @ 30Hz

Well, I had left shortly after my last post and got the only one they had. After plugging it in, I had the same results. Little did I realize the cable is not rated for 60hz (4096x2160@30Hz). FFS Guess I'll order one from Amazon!

Oh that's good to know! It looks like bestbuy has some cheap cables available. Thanks for the info.
  13. I have an asrock deskmini 310 set up as an HTPC type of system and just recently got bigbox set up on it. I noticed when playing for the first time that my NES games are lagging both in sound and gameplay. I noticed my specs state my HDMI is 4K@30Hz and my DisplayPort is 4K@60Hz. I have my HDMI hooked up and was thinking of getting a displayport cable but my TV only has HDMI ports (55" TCL). Is there anything I can do to get around this?
  14. Thanks and sorry for the redundant question. After digging up through some things, I forgot I had a wireless xbox 360 controller which I think I used for steam games at one point and I assume would work for this application. I'm going to need a second controller, so I'll go ahead and order the SN30.
  15. I'm pretty new to emulation and I plan on turning my PC into an HTPC type of set up for my living room. I wanted to put an emulator on there for (mostly) Nintendo systems so I don't have to hook up all of my systems as a way to keep it clean. I'm planning on setting up launchbox to do the task, but my only question is how would I be able to play the games on a controller. Are there 'all in one' type of controllers that I can use for most of the Nintendo consoles (at least up to Game cube anyways)? Also, would I have to configure the controller every time I switch systems (ie. going from an NES game to an SNES game) or will the configuration be remembered every time I go back to a game I played before? Hopefully that makes sense.
