  1. Ah, thanks. I didn't realise it was just the Beta update, as I've only got the official release for now. But good to know! and hopefully this post helps a couple of people before this change rolls out to the full release.
  2. When importing games via Steam, I get the following error. This happens after Launchbox identifies the new games available for import (There were 4 of them), then when the progress bar along the top starts, it automatically gets this error message. I can see that this issue was reported before, but was apparently fixed in an update in 2024. People also seemed to think it was an issue with their emulator, which isn't really the case here. Strangely, I can import the games manually as Windows games and select nothing as the emulator. the game then technically works, but doesn't recognise it as a Steam game. This is fine as a workaround, but I don't know why I'm suddenly getting this error. Things I've tried to fix: Restarting PC Logging in and Out of Steam Moving the games to another location on my PC (I have 3 different locations my Steam games are installed. None of them work) Installed non-Steam games. I've imported PS2 & 3DS games which work fine. I've manually imported a Steam game as noted above, which also works fine. Ensured Launchbox is fully up to date. Worth noting I've had Launchbox for years, so I have previously installed hundreds of Steam games, so this is a new issue and not because I'm trying to import Steam games for the first time. EDIT: I managed to fix this while typing it up, and thought I'd share for anyone needing help: I set up debugging, and noticed the following in the log: 2025-12-09 02:55:17 PM FIRST CHANCE EXCEPTION: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.SteamGame.GetTrailerVideoUrl(SteamGame game) 2025-12-09 02:55:17 PM Saving Settings.xml... 2025-12-09 02:55:17 PM FIRST CHANCE EXCEPTION: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.SteamGame.GetTrailerVideoUrl(SteamGame game) 2025-12-09 02:55:17 PM Saving G:\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms\Windows.xml... 2025-12-09 02:55:17 PM FIRST CHANCE EXCEPTION: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.SteamGame.GetTrailerVideoUrl(SteamGame game) 2025-12-09 02:55:17 PM DataManager.SaveInternal completed successfully. 2025-12-09 02:55:18 PM FIRST CHANCE EXCEPTION: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.SteamGame.GetTrailerVideoUrl(SteamGame game) So I reimported the games, but unticked the option to look for a Steam Trailer, and it suddenly works fine. Worth noting for anyone on the Launchbox Dev team, in case this is a particular issue with Steam Trailers that could be fixed in future updates.
  3. Hey, thanks a lot for your reply! all the suggestions worked, so it’s been a great help! Thanks so much!
  4. Hey, I just purchased premium the other week and have been taking some time getting as much media as possible for my library. I had a few questions I hope someone might be able to help with. 1. I'm trying to set up full soundtracks for my games in the most space efficient way possible. I use Foobar2000 for a lot of soundtracks, as it can play files in formats that other media players cannot and as a result they tend to be much smaller. As an example, the Super Mario 64 soundtrack is 1.18Mb total but the files are in a .miniusf format. Foobar does have the ability to convert to WAV, but it then turns the full soundtrack to almost 800Mb instead, which wouldn't be ideal memory wise if I done this with all my games. Is there either a space efficient way to store soundtracks that Launchbox will still play (i.e. if I compress them), or is there any way I can either have Launchbox play the files through Foobar or have it accept the .miniusf files? I'm quite comfortable with how to actually play the full soundtracks, by creating an M3U playlist, so no problem there, just trying to save some space if possible. 2. Is there any way to skip the tracks when playing the full soundtrack on Big Box? This isn't really an issue, as if I want to listen to the soundtrack I can just use these other programs, but I like being able to browse Big Box, check some manuals and maybe listen to a track or two, and I just wondered if it was possible to cycle through the playlist at all? 3. I was using an intro video for my individual consoles on the Unified theme on Big Box, but I recently downloaded a bunch of game snaps from Emumovies and Launchbox automatically kept them in the same folder as my console video, so now Big Box just plays one of these at random. Instead of having to go back through and change each game video individually and move them somewhere else, can I tell Unified to play the intro movie for the console from a very specific filepath? Any help with the above would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  5. I have a brand new PC and want to reimport all my old LaunchBox data over. I moved the entire LaunchBox folder to my external hard drive, containing all the downloaded metadata, as a lot of my games didn’t automatically download, so it took me a good few days to get it all set up initially. Is it as easy as moving my LaunchBox folder back to my PC, or is it a bit more complicated than that? im hoping to don’t need to go through all the data individually and can just use all my previously backed up data. Thanks in advance.
