GOG Games Getting Imported as MS-DOS Platform
ibleedspeed replied to ibleedspeed's topic in Troubleshooting
Update: After correctly setting the GOG Storefront to Import MS-DOS Games into Windows Platform in the Storefront Manager, I deleted the MS-DOS Platform, Then Imported the GOG Games again and this time most of them Imported to Windows except 3 so it recreated the DOS Platform again and imported these 3 titles as MS-DOS... Uhg... -
GOG Games Getting Imported as MS-DOS Platform
ibleedspeed replied to ibleedspeed's topic in Troubleshooting
It did not work unfortunately, I deleted the DOS Platform and tried to scan storefronts again, it recreated the DOS Platform and added one of the new GOG Games I just got. EDIT: I figured it out, You have to Select the MS-DOS Platform and Change it to Import as Windows, that wasnt very obvious at first. I was choosing the Windows platform and telling it to import Windows Games as Windows Platform but you have to choose for both options in the storefront manager. Now that I have fixed that, the problem is all the GOG Games that were previously imported as DOS are gone and dont display in the Windows Platform, How do I get them to re-import? -
GOG Games Getting Imported as MS-DOS Platform
ibleedspeed replied to ibleedspeed's topic in Troubleshooting
Ok Cool Thankyou, now how do I move the existing imports over to the windows platform so I can say goodbye to the dos platform? -
I have been getting free games on GOG through my Prime Gaming subscription, The Problem is that a lot of them get imported to an MS-DOS Platform in Launchbox and I want them all getting imported into the Windows Platform going forward. I already deleted the MS DOS Platform once and it came back as soon as new GOG Games were added through the auto import script after I acquired the games through Prime Gaming. Is there a way to stop them from being imported as MS Dos Games in the future?

I have previously configured hotkeys for the xbox controller to exit emulators, the select and start buttons pressed together on the xbox controller works fine in launchbox and bigbox but I would like to start using my Dualsense controller with some emulators such as any of the PS Emulators and Switch Emulators. Problem is the Select and Start buttons do not trigger the exit emulator function on the Dualsense. How can I map an exit script for the dualsense while still leaving the xbox controller script alone? I want to be able to switch controllers on the fly and still be able to exit games.

You were right, I did find it in the plugins folder and deleted the 4 or 5 files with youtube in the title, and it is gone now, must have installed that years ago and forgotten about it because I never install any plugins lol.

Snap Video Collection for Microsoft XBOX 360 & XBLA

Link is dead. -
I just noticed the Youtube Scraper Option in the right click context menu in launchbox, it doesn't do anything for me. Is this an old broken plugin that has somehow been overlooked for removal? As far as I know youtube hasn't allowed downloading videos for years, so just curious.

Not sure what was going on but restarting my PC fixed it.

So I am getting this error upon trying to start launchbox. I presume its because something changed about a storage location but launchbox wont open, it just repeatedly throws the error and wont allow me to open launchbox. How do I fix it?

Latest Update has RPCS3 DLCs and Updates being scanned into launchbox.

Anybody? -
I guess some people install games into RPCS3? I have never done that, my games are in folder format there is no need to install them into the emulated hdd, but you do have to install Updates and DLCs in RPCS3, Unfortunately this new feature sees those as games and adds them to launchbox as a game. Is there a way to turn that off for just RPCS3?

I started with a 6TB and I am down to 1Tb free space but most of the space is taken up by Xbox, PS3, Switch ect. So it depends if you will be emulating newer systems or not. If its only Retro then you don't need much, 4tb would be more than enough, but if you got a beefy PC and can run the PS3 type stuff it's go big or go home... I'm gonna end up upgrading to like a 12Tb before its all said and done probably.

I wanted to get OBS set up so I could make my own video snaps, and the tutorial from ETA Prime is a few years old now so I'm not sure if something has changed but here is my issue. I got OBS setup to record but there seems to be a problem with the Pause Menu in various emulators, from what the tutorial said I am supposed to capture my video then open the Pause Menu and exit the game at which time Launchbox will prompt me if I wanna associate the video with the game. I was testing this with RPCS3 and I kept getting 2 different pause menus, one overriding the other like they were fighting for dominance, I finally figured out that RPCS3 has a built in video recorder too and apparently the Hotkey for the RPCS3 Pause Menu must be the Guide Button on my Xbox controller which I had mapped as the Pause Menu button in Launchbox. I also had to disable that button in Steam so it wouldn't pull up steam when I press it. Then it might also pull up the Xbox gamebar if I it press while not in emulation so it's kind of a mess lol. It seems like button combos are all mapped to something random and I cant find a button combo to just open the Launchbox Pause Menu. I cannot find a way in RPCS3 To remap or disable the built in Pause Menu so there is a direct conflict. I eventually gave up after a couple hours fighting with RPCS3 and attempted to move on to yuzu and figure out how to capture video snaps for switch, no such luck, the button mapping that I assigned to the Guide Button for the launchbox Pause Menu does nothing while running Yuzu. So that's where I'm at, The only option I can see is to let OBM manually save the videos to my Videos folder, then Manually rename each video to the name of the associated game and drag it into the Launchbox directory Videos folder 1 by 1 which is going to be a much longer process. If anybody has streamlined a way to capture video snaps in various emulators can ya help me out here.

Honestly I have no idea how it did that but it did. The Final Burn Neo Roms were in a folder called Final Burn Neo, not the Arcade folder, so I guess that would be why. Anyways, I solved it by throwing everything Mame in the garbage bin, I'll never play those games anyways, no point having it messing up the arcades I might actually play.
