Hello all, I have used Launchbox as my front end for a few years now and at one point had a fully working arcade setup. I took it apart tp upgrade the PC and when I went back with it, im having issues with MAME CHD games either not loading, or taking forever to load and being sluggish till you get past a certain point. Im running a .255 merged rom set, using MAME as the emulator and the PC is more than powerful enough to play the roms. CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X GPU: RTX 3080 Storage: 2 SSD's: Launchbox /OS on one, all Roms on the other. What are some things I could try to fix the loading issues? It will take around 5 minutes to get through the initiating screens with all the CMOS test stuff. I tried to enable skipping that part and had crazy emulation issues. Nothing should have changed from the older setup that played those games flawlessly. Any ideas are appreciated !

I may have been the only one to struggle with this, but I had a heck of a time getting the clear logo of custom playlists to appear in various big box themes. I would make a custom image that I wanted to appear in big box, and it would either revert back to the plain text or a previous image. I found out that you have to go into the image folder>BB Cache> and delete everything related to that playlist. the playlist images are at the bottom. scroll down, delete the images you don't want, then put your new image in under clear logo. I spent way too much time figuring that one out. Hope this helps someone!

What I did was map one of my arcade buttons to a macro that launched Big Box. its not perfect, but it works. I am not sure if you could just go into task manager and set Big Box to open on startup and nothing else to ?
