  1. Thank you @Retro808! I didn't even notice that it changed from Settings.xml to Bigboxsettings.xml. I updated that XML, then all other xmls from my backups and LB is back up and running. Good call - and bonus points for the attention to detail I clearly didn't have.
  2. Hey All, Total newbie to LB and emulators here, but I built a homemade cabinet and the fam loves playing it. This morning when I tried to boot LB, it was greeted by the following error: It appears that your Launchbox\Data\Settings .xml file is corrupt; Launchbox can't continue. Please try restoring a backup of the file from the Backups folder inside of your Launchbox folder. Root element is missing. I've chased the issue down in a few of the forums. Here's what I've tried so far to no avail: 1) Replacing my settings.xml file with a backup from the backup folder - didn't work; same error. I tried 3 different settings.xml files from different dates when the program worked. 2) Reinstalling LB 11 from the site. Didn't work, same error. 3) Reinstalling LB 10.15 from my updates folder. Didn't work, same error. 4) Deleting the settings.xml file from the data folder and attempting to start LB. Didn't work, same error. The error pops up when the launchbox startup dialogue box is "Populating Settings..."Hopefully this makes sense to the smart people in this forum. I'd really like to not have to uninstall everything and start fresh - but if that's what I need to do; so be it. Hoping there's a slightly less "Nuclear" fix...
