Is there a way to change an emulator that was chosen during the set up as a platform? The one I have assigned isn't working.

Looks like Norton Antivirus strikes again. For some unknown reason, Norton was blocking my access to these folders. It's all fixed now. Thanks for the advice.

I am able to get all the way through the path and read the Readme.txt file.

After installing the update 11.8, I can't launch BigBox. I get the following text. Any Ideas?

I am having trouble with my controller. In Launchbox, the only things working on the controller are the left stick and the A or B buttons. The stick moves the curser around , the A button works just like a left click of a mouse and the B button is aright click. I have gone into options and everything seems to be correct. The controller is not working correctly with different platforms either. In some, a few buttons work and in others nothing works. Everything was working great until a few days ago. Windows did an auto update around that time. Other than that I have no clue of what happened or what to do to correct it. Has anyone ever heard of this? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I'm really sorry to be such a noob but I can't figure out what happened to my controller. It was working across all of my emulators and now it is not working (completely) on any. I am using an Xbox 360 both wired and bluetooth.I have tried to reconfigure them and remap them and nothing helps. When I say not completely working, I mean right joy stick might work but nothing else in this emulator and then nothing works at all in another emulator. The only thing I can think of that is different today from yesterday is that Windows 10 did an update last night. I don't know what that has to do with the situation but I thought I should mention. Any clue what might be the problem?

I must have done something wrong before. Frustrated, I just removed the emulator and roms and started over. I first loaded the emulator and then the roms. I think I did the opposite the first time. Everything is working fine now though. Thank you for your input and help.

They are in .bin and .cue and .gdi

I went through the adding of roms just like I have with every other platform. My games show in LB but when I either double clikc a game, right click and select plat or launch with (Redream) instead of the game launching, Readream launches and I am brought to a menu with headers ( Games, Library, Input, Video and system). from there I have to select a game that is available in the Library. Only 3 games out of over 400 are available to p,lay. I know I must have done something wrong. It's just like I am using Redream as a stand alone emulator.

Is there an easier way to load roms into the Redreams library than one at a time. I have quite a few Dreamcast roms in Launchbox. each time I try to play one, the Redreams library comes up and I have to go to imput and drill down the path to load it. There must be a better way. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can give.

OMG. The time and aggravation you have saved me is unbelievable. Thanks so much for your held. I just copied my Core folder and the LB and BB application files Everything is working great. Thanks for your help.

I don't think or see where BigBox.dll was quarantined before. My windows virus protection is turned off. What I did do was to install the last version of LB BB using a different path and tried to run BB. I had no games added so I was required to add some. I added just a few and BigBox worked just fine. I got a message stating there was a new version (11.7) available. I updated to the new version and BigBox is still working. The only problem with this is having to load all of my Roms into this new set up. It will take some time but this will probably be the easiest fix, unless you have another way of doing it.

I checked my Norton 360 Quarantine folder and found 2 Bigbox.bin folders. I reversed the action and Bigbox still won't open.

I posted about having trouble launching BigBox about a month ago. When I tried to launch BigBox from the Tools menu or from within the Launchbox folder, everything would just shut down. After taking some suggestions, BigBox started to load. Now, after updating to version 11.7, I am right back where I started from. I don't want to go back to the last version. Any suggestions?

I have installed a mame rom set 220 in LB and I am using Mame64 225. the games aren't starting from LB. When I click on them, It looks like the emulator is starting (screen goes black) but then my game choices window comes back on and nothing. I ran Mame64 on its own and loaded a game directly into it and it played. Is there something else I need to do? Also, Can I use a controller in Mame? I did not see a configuration for it. BTW, I was able to start the game I loaded directly into Mame64 using LB but I had to use the keyboard to play. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I checked them. Neither Bigbox or Launchbox were on them.

I have tried everything I can think of so far. I have checked all of my Norton settings and they don't seem to be the problem. If I try to launch Bigbox from within Launchbox, it closes Launchbox and that's it. when I try to launch BigBox from within the Launchbox folder, nothing happens at all. Any more suggestions???

Thanks. I'll check it. Norton has been acting really strange lately so that is most likely the problem.

I'm not sure I understand Bigbox. I am using Launchbox premium and I have gotten pretty good with it. After watching a few YouTube videos, I still don't know what to do to run Bigbox. Is this another loader within Launchbox? Is it something I need to build? I just need a push in the right direction. I have tried launching it from within the Launchbox folder using the application icon but nothing happens. Thanks in advance

WOW!!!! Thanks so much for the help. I am now able to get Atari 2600 games and SNES games playing in Launchbox. Sega Genesis is still not playing video even though "Missing Core File" does not show. With the help I have received from the two of you, I feel like I will eventually get them going too. I hope as I learn more about this, I may be able to contribute to the community also. I have checked everything and it is as you say it should be but I still only get music and a black screen. You asked me before about my GPU. How can i find that info?

As we discussed earlier, I have loaded Retroarch in Launchbox but my games won't play. They play directly in Retroarch but not Launchbox. What am I not doing correctly? What am I missing? I have followed every tutorial I can find and no luc
