  1. If you want some basic video editing tools like cutter, cropper, converter, merger, recorder, compressor, watermark remover, etc. maybe you could try Joyoshare VidiKit (https://www.joyoshare.com/vidikit/). It is an all-in-one and easy-to-use video editor. But if you want more professional features, maybe you can try OpenShot, iMovie, etc. They are much more powerful.
  2. Joyoshare VidiKit is my favorite. It has a built-in screen recorder for Windows and Mac, which is able to record screen in 1080p with no lag. Sometimes I would use it to make how-to videos for my art students. More importantly, it can record screen with no watermark and no time limit.
  3. I found Joyoshare VidiKit amazing. My sis uses PS3 and I have a PS4. It help us record game clips in 1080p with no watermark and no lag at all. Sometimes I would also use it to download videos from other websites.
  4. Agree with that. But OBS would be too complicted for beginners to understand. My sis recommended me to use Joyoshare Screen Recorder, and I find it simple yet very capable. I use it to capture gameplay recently. It supports a wide range or format. But OBS is free, which is a good thing.
  5. I recently use Joyoshare Screen Recorder to record Eternal Return in high definition and upload to YouTube.
