Ok, so I re-imported with. "removed roughly matched images" turned off and it's importing much, MUCH faster. Thank you for the pro tip!?

I probably did leave that checked. If it's checked by default I left it checked. I'll take a look and report back. Thanks!

I know this is an old thread but I’m having the same issues. Loving LaunchBox but it’s gonna take a week to import my ROMs. Seriously. It ran all night importing ~2000 ROMs and I am only 1/4 of the way done. Turning off the fan art helped. I could turn other stuff off but I LIKE that stuff! My internet isn’t the problem either. Gigabit speed. Any ideas are welcome at this point.

Any chance this is related to the RetroArch hack? It’s a shadow of its former self with all the missing cores.
