Each time I update retroarch all the corse have been uptate at the same time. So how I avoid to update mame?

Hi there, I want to use the retroarch builtin mame core because I feel better to use retroarch and all its features. Since now I was using the mame 2016 core using a quite old romset. If I use the latest mame core, each time I update the core, should I update even the romset? I have the 0.243 romset right now wich should be the latest one

Each time I run project 64 from bigbox, a nag screen apper with advertising about support project 64 emulator. How I avoid this adverstise so pop up? I found some advices on the internet about modify che project64.cfg file and change the [Support Project64] value to -1. The fact is that on the modern version of project64 there in so valure to set on the cfg file.

For example when I want to add a playstation 1 game I have to manually select only the cue file, because if I would scan the entire Ps1 rom folder, launchbox will count all the track files as games, resulting in thousand and thousands of track fles read as games. In my ps1 folder there are cue files, track files, and iso files. I would like that launchbox would be able to scan the folder reading only the cue an iso files. This happen also for sega saturn games, but the biggest problem I found is on the dreamcast, because dreamcast games need a subfolder, because the track files don't have the game's name (ex: track1, track2, track3), and putting all the dreamcsat games in the root of the same folder, it will happens that many games have the trak files named the same (trak1, trak2,trak3) and windows doesn't let files with the same name to be in the same folder. SO it wouyl be awesome basically, if launchbox wouldread all the files but not the trak one, scanning also subfolders. If launchbox would only detect .cue - .iso - .gdi - .cdi files, instead reading also the tack files, would be awesome. The only problem I thin are the track files. Untill now I had to drag and drop only specific files on launchbox to avoid the reading of the tack files. If there is a way tell me, if there is not, just make launchbox avoid read tracks file. Solved, I had just to update correctly the code for the emulator, I used a - more and for this it wasn't working -fullscreen -batch

Hi there, I downloadded today the latest version of pcsx2 with the new gui. Once I replaced the old one with this one, I set it as default emulator for ps2 games in launchbox. The problem is that any games don't start. On the command line I insert --fullscreen -batch -fullboot, but nothing change. How can I use the latest pcsx2 version to run games in launchbox-bigbox?

Thanks a lot. Anyawy I would suggetst to the launchbox stuff just to remove the double dots, they are useless and make the games in a strange order. Instead the double dots, would be better an empty space and a " - ", for example: Metal slug - super vehicle metal slug 2 metal slug 3 metal slug 4 metal slug 5 Yes the order of many games would remain messed up, as the series with roman number, but an ampty space followed by a " - " will resolve many many games order without change each series.

I think you are speaking about rename the rom and iso files right? I know the program you say, but what I wont to to is to modify the metadata name in launchbox. Where I can find this "Sort title" feature in launchbox?

Hi there, I have so many games within launchbox, and rename them one by one it would require so much time. There is a way to remove the double dots " : " from the name of the games? Thi character basically it brokes the game natural order. For example: metal slug 2 metal slug 3 metal slug 4 metal slug 5 metal slug: super vehicle Basically the system see the double dots as a character that must be isted after the letters, and in other many cases as metal slug, the first title of a series is listed as the last one. Another possibility would let the system see the double dts character to be listed before the letters in the alphabetic order.

Hi there, I am loving the unified theme, but when it gets to games details I would like it shows the region or language of the game. I have a lot of Japanese english patched games, and a lot Japanese only games. So when using cityhunter 2 theme I can choose on the options which games details it have to show, but changing the game details on Unified nothing happen. For example I would like to remove the "game modality" which shows in the game cvan be played in 1 or more players, and instead shoe the game region or language. How can I do this?

Hi there, using any controller using X-input on windows, the home button it become something like a windows operationl button, and when press it a lot of shortcuts and info popup on my desktop..... since I don't care of any of those functionalities, I would like to use the home button as a normal button for retrogaming on emulators. Instead a combination of buttons, I would like to just press the home button to get in retroarch menù while playing my retro games.... Is this possible or is just a dream? Thanks

Hi there, I like to have all the systems listed in the same wheel.... in this wheel I have the arcade system listing all my mame roms I have... but what i would like is that the main wheel will list also the acrcade section (the one with all the autogenerated playlists).... You probably will tell me to list the 3 systems category such "arcade, consoles, handelds", but I don't like this way: an example on how the main wheel i would like should be: -Arcade: all mame roms -Arcade: all mame playlist -Nintendo Enstertainment System: all nes roms -Nintendo Virtual Boy: all virtual boy roms -Sony Playstation: all playstation roms

How can I set a wallpaper as background in the games list of each system in bigbox? I managed to change the systems background in the system wheel, and I woul like to do the same for every games list wheel

Hi guys, after I imported my mame2016 romset on launchbox/bigbox, i told launchbox to create all the playlist. The problem is that even my romset is complete, in the gamelist there are some missing games, especially from the sega brand (such as virtua cop, virtua fighter1, and the house of the dead series). In fact launchbox generated a lot of playlist except the sega model 1 and sega model 3, for some reason generated the sega model 2 but with just 3 games on it. So how can I generate the missing playlist and add the missing games? If you are going to ask me if I have the related roms of the missing games, I can tell you there I have all the roms in the set, but launchbox just didn't see them. Thanks a lot

Ok guys, I solved by first put all the roms in the mame rom's directory, than I imported again all the roms in launchbox, and know everything is working grate, thanks you all

During the import of the romset launchbox tells me that is necessary to use a standalone mame to import roms.... I did as you told me, I bulk edit all arcade roms to edit emulator using retroarch... roms still don't run. Actually no, using the standalone mame roms don't work as well, but I think because my romset is not compatible with this version of mame I downloaded. But this romset is specific to 2016 mame, in fact the first time I did everything was working grate.... I just can't figure out why know it is not.

Yes, I set retroarch mame2016 core to be the default emulator to run arcade games. Even if I right click a game, then run with retroarch mame2016, the game just doesn't start......

Hi there, the first time I imported mame roms on launchbox everything was working grate, I was able to play all my roms. Now I am not able to play any single rom. - I have a mame2016 romset - I go in launchbox, then import mame full romset - I select the folder on my external HD which contain all my roms - I select a mame emulator to generate metadata, for this I downloaded the latest mame emulator on the mame website - once I completed the import of my full romset, I have all my roms been displayed on launchbox, with images and metadata - then I set retroarch to use mame2016 core to be the main emulator to launch arcade roms result: any of the roms just don't start...... Can you guys help me? The first time I did this, a month ago, everything was working grate, why know is not? Thanks
