Trying to get trackball working on x arcade tankstick controller to work for games like centipede. It works pefectly fine outside of big box/launchbox. when i simply run mame. but does not respond when using launchbox front end. How do i set it up?

Im using an x arcade tankstick. I always used to be able to press coin button plus player 2 button at the same time to exit a game. For some reason I cannot find exit hgame option to re map the key only way for me to get out of game is using escape button on my keyboard. Am i looking in the wrong place? I look in mame, launchbox and Big box but i cant find a solution. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Running mame 0.229 windows 10 X arcade tankstick Trackball works pefectly fine in windows as the mouse trackball works fine in launchbox/bigbox and in main menus of MAME My problem is the games that i would normally control with the trackball , trackball does not do anything. Im trying to set them up in game pressing the tab button but not sure how to do it Im sure i have to do something with analog but not sure how to set it. Thanks for any help screenshot included

Getting back into the mame and arcade scene is killing my brain. But in excited due to launchbox and Big Box. So here is my question I set everything up with newest mame i found 0.229. But i used and old romset which many games had errror messages. I just downloaded a new complete set of merged roms. How do i go about installing them into launchbox now? Just delete the old roms and copy in the new roms into mame? Will i have to import them all over again into launchbox? The first time i did it it took about 23 hours. Is that normal? Ok , please brear with me im very new to launchbox and bigbox. So basically im using mame 0.229 emulator. with x arcade tankstick. On old versions of mame i used to be able to hold down coin button 1 and player one start together in order to exit game. Now i can only exit using keyboard esc key. I cannot find in any of the configuration sections anything that says esc or or exit game in order for me to remap. any help?
