  1. I don't completely understand why but after at least 3 or 4 hours of searching this forum with titles that dont match my issue I found something and just tried it. "Remove file extension and folder path" Not sure why but now everything works.
  2. Also tried Final Burn Alpha, once again all CPS rom run fine in the stand alone emulator but not via Launchbox. Have also tried changing the emulator to MAME, when launching a game the screen goes black, the word 'initialising' flashes for a minute and then crashes.
  3. I have Final Burn Neo installed on Win 10. I have three folders set up CPS1, CPS2 & CPS3. Scanned all the folders and can run everything. When setting up via Launchbox I import roms, platform as CPS1, emulator as Final Burn Neo and when I try to play it says "the folder path /this game is not supported by by final burn neo" I used the same three folders located in the same location (CPS1, CPS2, CPS3) when using Final Burn Neo on it's own and via Launchbox. The games run in the stand alone emulator but not through Launchbox. Any suggestions ?
  4. Thats what I ended up doing. And it all worked as you described. Next one to explore is 'Game and Watch'. I saw a Youtube video of a guy using Launchbox, he imported the games and chose Mame as the emulator. Of course this did not work for me. Tried zipped and unzipped files.
  5. Yep that worked. Whats really strange is that when you click on "Change ROMs Folder Path for Selected Games" it comes up with the folder I want, as if it's already selected. Did it anyway and now the launch tab is the correct folder. It's fixed now. Update: and I spoke to soon...I have been testing one game which now works but every other game comes up with the "the rom file youve specified does not exist" for every other title (despite changing Rom folder path for everything. Have looked at 'Launching' and 'Emulation' on 5 other games and they are all correct. But for some reason the first game I have been trying this whole time starts but nothing else does. Same error. I have refreshed and restarted Launchbox, ? ? ? ? ? UPDATE 2: OK tried a different game, even though the folder structure is correct I selected it again and now it works. All other games still get the same "the rom file youve specified does not exist" error. So from what I can tell (and I could be very, very wrong) there are 2 things going on: A: Re-importing your games does not change the original folder structure B: Bulk changing the folder path does not work but it does change the folder structure on the surface, it reads as changed however Launchbox still cant find the Rom unless you change the individual games settings. Since I'm not about to change 200 games individually and selecting all games doesn't work it's going to be quicker to erase everything and start from the beginning again. Any suggestions before I do that ? Maybe some bizarre Win 10 setting that wont let Launchbox make those changes even though it looks like it has ? Can I delete everything except metadata ? Thats the longest part of the whole process. UPDATE 3: I have been searching through a few games and there are multiple versions. If I right click on a game, every version is listed ready to start. But every single one results in the same error message. If I right click and edit to point launcbox at the file (not just a folder of roms for a particular platform) it will work. Seems like no matter what I'm going to have to either edit 1 by 1 OR import 1 by 1. It seems ridiculous that there isn't a way around this!
  6. Just did my 3rd re-import, no files were imported because they are all there already, confirming that the path is correct I leave the files in the folder they are currently in. AH HA, despite re-importing twice the old folder structure remains in the Launching tab. If I had looked at the launching tab I would have seen that but I was only focussed on all the sub options. I had a folder full of games on a single platform, I unzipped them into one folder and then imported all of them. Then I decided to move all the unzipped files into a new folder where all future roms would go. But re-importing does not change that original folder chosen, which is unusual. Next question: How do I fix it ? If I go into manage platform, edit, then the file path is correct. But when I right click on a single game, edit, the launch tab has the old file path (as mentioned above). I selected the first game, held shift key and selected last game which highlights all games. Right click to enter bulk edit, but I can't see a launch option anywhere. Is this a delete and start again scenario ?
  7. I set up Launchbox a few days a go. Imported Roms for one platform only downloaded the emulator (using stand alone emulators instead of retroarch) and tried 3 or 4 games and they all worked fine. Five days later the only message I get for every single Rom is "The Rom file you've specified does not exist" I have checked the folder path and it is correct. I have re-imported all the files again, this time it only took a minute because all the files are there and metadata downloaded but I get the same error message, I've also tried selecting different versions of the Roms but all result in the same message. I have also tried running the same Roms just using the stand alone emulator instead of launchbox and they all run perfectly. What am I missing here ?
