  1. ATM I have BigBox in my start prog folder. After windows loads it goes straight into Bigbox. I like this but Bigbox being shell should shorten that wait time quite a bit. I'm using old discarded tower desktop PCs for my builds and I wouldn't call them speedy by any means.
  2. Thank you for taking the time to share that all with me, it's super helpful. I do not use passwords on my PCs either. I don't use them for anything important other than my games so I'm not worried about it. However, if I set this up and someone can get access that much easier then maybe I'll consider it. That's something I hadn't thought about until you pointed it out. This might be where teamviewer may be advantageous. I can set it up so that as long as the arcade cabinet is up and running, I can access it from my workbench without any prompting at the cabinet. I do see some issues popping up with the fact that eventually I would like to enable BigBox as shell which will not load many windows functions. Maybe it's possible to set that up to also load teamviewer.exe every time I turn the cabinet on. If this that works maybe that could be a workaround for the inactive windows shell. Password wouldn't be a thing because only the workbench PC would be allowed to connect through teamviewer without attendance. I'm sure there's easier ways of doing things than I can dream up, but that's part of why this is fun to figure out. But right now, it'd be a lot more fun without needing that extra monitor to hook up and if/when I build more cabinets, maintaining them will just be all that much easier and enjoyable. Thanks again
  3. I have a cabinet setup in my family room in the basement running Bigbox and I'd like to be able to access it to do setup and maintenance from a computer upstairs. Right now, because this is a CRT-based cabinet I have to setup a second display (regular non-crt monitor) so that I can view windows with correct resolution and enter windows settings to activate it then open launchbox and sit sideways in front of my cabinet on a stool editing my setup. It would be great to be able to do this from the comfort of my main desktop upstairs. I'm sure there's a way to set this up, I'm just not savvy enough to know. Can anyone help me out with some directions or point me to a tutorial? TIA Brian
  4. Sorry, my build got a little sidetracked making artwork for it. I decided to just keep it simple 4 player for now. I'm working on the CP layout which is taking me longer than I expected. I bought an Ipac-4 for controls. I hope it will work ok. I really just want to finish this cabinet already so I can get to work on a one player upright with track ball and spinner.
  5. Just wondering what my options are for having two instances running on two separate cabinets and linking them to play four player games together rather than building a four player cabinet and all that entails.. I was told this is desirable but I'm not sure how it's done.
