Thank you kindly, I at first thought of trying this but only knew to use esc to get the main menue which took me out of the platform

Kinda figured it out. I went into launchbox and in each platform clicked image group and select the type I wanted, then switched to bigbox from launchbox and it has the different platforms as what I had it set to. But when I switch back to launchbox the platforms are showing the default image type but bigbox still retains what it was previously set to. So that works for what I was wanting. Thank you. Edit: Though this doesnt not appear to be working for the playlists created under arcade.

Can you have different image types for platforms in bigbox? Like 3d boxes for consoles, and carts for handhelds etc.
