  1. Hi I have tried to download some artwork and box images using Launchbox for Android. Although the program spent a few minutes to download and indicated a successful download, there is no box art showing for the games. After checking the data folder I found many .png files that appeared to be the artwork for the games, but, all the files are zero byte files. I was going to move the data files to a different directory, but every time I tried to move the data directory, Launchbox told me that there was a permissions issue, so I have left the folder in it's original location. Launchbox will not now let me download the artwork again because it thinks the artwork is already downloaded. The problem console is the Atari Lynx, the Atari Jaguar has downloaded the artwork with no problem. Thanks Les
  2. Trying to get Launchbox for android to work with RetroArch plus for android. When adding games and emulators, launchbox will suggest a core (or two) for the game or group of games. But when I use retroarch I cannot find the suggested core, the names are different. Launchbox will use the name of the core and RetroArch will name the cores by console. This results in installing cores or emulators which don't work or are not needed. Is there any guide or list that will match emulator, core and console so that I can better choose the emulator in retroarch, or can Launchbox select the core for RetroArch to download rather than me searching and selecting the core.
  3. Thanks. All the files were imported and placed in the Arcade folder and the Launchbox audit function shows them to be in the correct Place. So,I have started again, from scratch. I have deleted lauchbox and Mame, reinstalled both and gone through the set up and import again and now it seems to work. Luckily, I had only a very few other platforms/games additionaly installed, so I would not recommend this solution for anyone with a large collection, but for me, I was going to spend more time fixing it than it took to start again. Thanks to all for the help and advice and sorry that we did not find a solution that might be useful for others.
  4. Thank you. I will copy those files into that folder and test the game again. Can't get to do this till Monday now, but I will let you know as soon as I have done it. Thank you again
  5. Hi all I am attempting to play some Amiga 500 games. I have selected Retroarch as the emulator and Puae2021 as the core. I have the files with .lha and .hdf extensions, unfortunately when trying to play either the .lha or the .hdf games I get an error saying "kickstart rom kick40068.a1200 not found. However I CAN find it, it is in a subfolder of Retroarch\saves\WHDload\Devs\Kickstarts. Is there a reason that the emulator cannot find this file and is there a way to point the emulator to the correct file? Or a place I can put the file for the emulator to find ?
  6. I downloaded a full set from what was regarded as a trusted archive. Also, the wizard gave me three options: Move the files into the Launchbox directory: Copy the files into the Launchbox directory or Leave the files in their current directory and run them from there. I tried both "Copy" and "move" niether of which worked. I checked the "Arcade" folder and all the files were present in that folder. I have had zero experience with Mame so I do not have the skill or knowledge with it, and I am afraid I might screw it up as I don't know the different file extensions and not sure if I have a rom or a bios file and I don't understand the me nus. I have downloaded Mame again and installed a copy of it on another drive, so I can play with it and not touch the Mame that is used by Launchbox. The suggestion from Launchbox and YouTubers like ETA Prime, is that when using the wizard it should not be this difficult. Also I have redownloaded the rom set and a different but smaller rom set and none of these work either.
  7. I am a complete noob so this may be a simple question. I have downloaded and installed Mame using the wizard in the launchbox app. The app has not copied ALL of the games to the "Arcade" folder only some, 4013 copied of 13895 files. Also I cannot play any of the games that have been downloaded, all I get when double click or select play from the menu, is a spinning circle, a sudden appearing and disappearing black screen and then I am returned to the "Arcade" platform list again. There are no errors displayed so I don't know why this happens, where to start or how to diagnose the problem. As far as I can tell Retroarch and a Sam Coupe emulator are both working fine, and the games in "Sega Genesis", "PC Engine SuperGrafx" and "NEC TurboGrafx" platforms also seem to be working.
