I made further testing and it seems to happen only with the default theme. If I switch to old default I get full performance. Of course, it's the default one I wanted to use, just my usual luck. 😓

Not to be nagging but I have trouble understanding why toggling on and off a details screen would affect the performance in MAME... Anyone with any ideas at all? 😔

Well the issue has surfaced again and after some more testing I seem to have found exactly when this happen. For some reason when I turn the option "Skip the game details screen" to enable, I get at most 54% speed in MAME. I switch this option back to disable and back to 100% speed in MAME.

Ended up fixing the issue. Found out my display refresh rate was running at 29.9hz instead of 60. Switched the rate and problem fixed.

Hey everyone. I started having a weird issue that I didn't have at first. When starting a game from LaunchBox or BigBox I gave strange performance issue. The audio and visual are sluggish. Starting the same game directly from MAME and it has no problems. I did some search and it seemed to point toward the Nvidia GeForce Exprience software but I don't have it on my machine. I do have the AMD Radeon Software however. I did upgrade the drivers, rebooted the machine, tried different games. Still persist. Everything seems to run great and if I start the game from MAME directly it's working 100% performance. Any ideas on that one? Currently running a AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with 16Gb RAM, 512Gb NVME with my OS and a 2Tb SATA SSD with Launchbox and everything else on it. I'm using AMD Radeon iGPU.

Using the alternate name I was able to match it to the MVS title. The game was already using the alternate name but it didn't match by default. I assume it's based on the fact that the alternate name was for MVS, AES, Saturn and PSX instead of Arcade?

Hey everyone. Going through my MAME set in launchbox to make sure everything is matched properly and was surprised to find Metal Slug (mslug.zip) didn't have any metadata and media downloaded. Ended up finding out that the game didn't find any match in the games database. Of course it exist and when I try to match it it just doesn't find it. Doing a search for "Metal Slug" only brings out Metal Slug 2 and two times Metal Slug X. All the other title in the series did match properly however.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll just download the MAME Multimedia pack and do it manually.

Good day everyone. I have small experience with Launchbox and recently upgraded to premium for my first cabinet build. I've signed in to the launchbox database and emumovies but for some reason I cannot download videos, it's simply not an option. From what I gather from my web searches I should have, right after Screenshots a few options for Videos when downloading medias but it's simply not there. The available medias I see stop at Screenshots. Any ideas why? FInally, any suggestions on what is a must have as far as medias goes and what would be skipped? I will possibly use the Old Default theme in Big Box.
