I am ripping apart my cabinet to start from scratch. I am coming from Hyperspin in which I had a terrible experience with. I want to install everything this time around myself. I have Launch / Big Box installed and signed up for the premium version because I think its just great. I installed my first set of games MAME and it is working well, really well. I have a 4 player arcade that I built. Is there anywhere I could get some guidance? I need some clarity on what emulators to use or what an emulator is... I mean I have an idea but need some clarity. The End game is to have the classic arcade machines, Atari 2600, Super Nintendo, Xbox, PS4, and Steam running. Is there anybody out there that can help or has a service that provides guidance. I don't want to just buy a drive, I would like to get my hands dirty so I understand it better. I am computer and electronic savvy.

Thank you faeran and DarkMatterDM. I have been into the MAME part of this all last night. Very Stable in my opinion, nothing like what I was using, ( hyperspin ). Do you know if I can use any of the games that I got with the hyperspin package and use them with Launch box? Console stuff like Atari 2600, PS3, PS4? I have all of those on a 8tb Drive. I would really like to get House of the Dead if at all possible but i have no idea how to get that going. The Cab you saw in the pic will be redone. That was just before hyperspin was installed and was in operation for about 6 months, then I got discouraged and just shut it off and tucked it away... until I found Launchbox! I'm pumped again lol! ( you probably can tell )

Hi all ! I'm so excited, I am coming from another front end that was so glitchy and embarrassing when hosting game nights that I decided to rip apart my build and start from scratch. Having said that, I downloaded Launch Box and a MAME set and man... this thing rocks ! It seems so stable. I do have a lot of questions though. First Question... is this the correct area to ask questions lol!? I have Launch Box and signed up for the life time membership of Big Box. The end game is I want to add the MAME games, Gun Games, Some consoles and get Steam working nicely. Its a 4 player arcade, 1 track ball, 1 spinner ( I do have 3 spinners total though ), 2 8BitDo Wireless Controllers, 2 Guns from RPEG ... any help, recommendations, direction is greatly appreciated. I have a fantastic shop / work area to work with as I run a Graphics Design and Fabrication shop... laser, cnc's, sign printing... so skies the limit !
