  1. Had this thing running fine a few months ago Went to play dynamite cop and got the black screen of death lol. The only thing that has changed is I updated my driver's on AMD adrenaline to correct for a PCSX2 issue I was having with Red Dead. It will still play in windowed, but locks me into a black full screen that I can't get out of unless I restart. I suspect the more time goes on, the more incompatible this emulator is going to become.
  2. Just tried out the new Playstation 3 import feature and it works well for blu ray disc formatted games however is still an issue for PSN games, or .PKG files installed to the HDD of RPCS3. It will parse out all the EBOOT files, but it will not know what to title the games because RPSC3's HDD stores the games as their Game ID (like NPU12345); so every single game is titled "EBOOT" and doesn't appear to identify a launchbox ID. Is there any way to associate Game ID's with Launchbox ID's so it knows which metadata to import and proper game titling?
  3. Had to move my arcade games into another drive for space... I edited the arcade platform folder to set the new path to the new folder where my arcade games now live. Launchbox asks me if it should update all the files within that folder. Great... Except it doesn't actually update the launch path of the roms. Each game still shows its associated with the old folder, despite being moved into the new folder. Its like 500 games, I don't want to click in and edit each and every single Roms launch path... Wtf?
  4. Same issue. Also Quake and Wolfenstien 3D with their custom cores do not launch.
  5. Ok the launchbox naming was the issue, though it's odd because it was named based off of Launchboxs database/ID. It was previously Super Mario Brothers, when I changed it to Super Mario Bros. it updated to show the achievements in LB. I will note that neither "Super Mario Brothers" nor "Super Mario Bros." works for syncing the achievements of the Famicom Disk version of the game even though achievements are supported for that version as well. (Yes, of course I need two different versions of the same exact game lol)
  6. Wasn't really sure where to report launchbox glitches. Anyway, Super Mario Bros ROM is correct hash for Retroachievements, retroarch is logging them. However, Launchbox's integration for recognizing achievements on this particular game does not appear to be working on this particular game. Not a major glitch but wanted to note it
  7. Really bizarre. Was playing Zelda with mupen64 core this morning and audio sounded fine. Was using a dinput controller and switched to xinput for rumble support; only changes made to retroarch/launchbox are controller related, did not touch audio settings. Now Zelda audio is all scratchy if I launch it from launchbox. However, if I launch it from retroarch, it sounds is perfect. Any clue what I need to do to address this? Edit: Actually, no, its still happening when I launch through retroarch but its much less noticeable. Through launchbox playing the ocarina sounds awful, it wasn't until I got to kakori forest launching through retroarch that I can hear the scratch
  8. ahhh I see what happened, I moved the rom into launchbox's arcade folder when importing it. I guess it's required to keep mame roms under the mame emulator's rom folder for launchbox?
  9. So there was one thing I didn't try, dragging the zipped folder into launchbox. That seems to have worked to import to launchbox however now the game wont play from launchbox. It does play from mame stand alone though... any idea what step I'm missing now? Thanks
  10. I've tried to both the "add folder" option which holds all of the associated files for the rom, and I have tried the "add files" option and selecting all the files within the folder. Launchbox still doesn't recognize the files in either case. Drag and dropping also does not work, it does bring up the wizard but at the end no rom file shows up. I've used the exact same rom files on a hacked Snes running Hackchi so I know they're actual mame roms... though on hackchi you add them as a zip file; I do not see any way to add them zipped on launchbox, idk if that has anything to do with the issue?
  11. I have seen a 1000 how-to videos and guides on importing a mame full set. I do not want to do that. I just want to play xmen and the simpsons... Ok so I have downloaded mame and added it as an emulator to launchbox. I have the non-merged desired roms. Now, how TF do I add them to launchbox? I've tried adding the full folder, and I've tried adding all the files of the folder, neither method seems to register with launchbox and nothing imports. The full set importer looks great... if that's what you want, but how do you add just single MAME roms?
  12. Is there a way to hide the emulator start up screen when launching a game? If I start a PS2 game with PCSX2 or a GC/WII game with Dolpin, there's a brief point in between launchbox and the emulator that the emulator windows flash before loading to full screen and on with the game. With retroarch it jumps right into the game without this lag in between, very seamless and ideal. I have tried checking the boxes to hide windows on start up, and I just tried the "aggressively hide windows on start up" but that does not seem to have fixed the issue... It's pretty annoying . Is there something else I should be doing? I saw a launchbox tutorial YT video from ETA Prime about the dolphin emulator setup guide and he had a loading for soul calibur 2 that seems to have hid the dolphin boot up process but I can't seem to find any specifics on how he did that. Any insights?
  13. Is there a way to sort box art by region? I notice on my Japanese Super Nintendo games a lot of them have US box art in the images along with the default Japanese art. It would be awesome if we could batch toggle between JAP/USA/PAL box art. Right now trying to go through and change each individual cover art to conform is tedious work. I also don't like that I can't label the art by region. I don't want to delete the JAP/PAL box art, so I've just been categorizing them as "reconstructed" so its still in the file but not the default art. Is there already a regional control that would work for this?
  14. Just wanted to report back that the above solution corrected the issue for anyone else in the future that comes across this problems..
