  1. Cool tips! Thanks!
  2. So maybe that could be the best solution. I was hoping to have use of the laptop when BigBox is open, but maybe that's a good compromise.
  3. What I'm trying to say is... You could simply use retroarch or the emulator of your choice and duplicate your screen to another monitor. And BigBox really isn't necessary for that. Extending the screen seems to me the way that BB was intended to be used. I want to be able to browse or whatever while BigBox is open and on screen. Anyway, I'm working on it.
  4. I'll also just as a follow-up I didn't see the bottom part of your post. I thought about doing the duplicate... But if I do that I don't even really need big box do I? The point is to be able to use big box. Thoughts on that?
  5. Yeah, thanks. I appreciate your post comment. Just update I was able to download the graphics command Center for my graphics card and I was able to adjust it to get big box to fit onto my TV perfectly. Now I'm fixing some issues in the way that I have custom aspect ratio settings for my master system in Genesis games and the game image underneath my bezels is blown up or zoomed in if you will. I'm not sure how this is affecting NES, Atari, and Coleco games though. Well as I think about it I probably did a custom setting for retroarch and that's affecting it.
  6. Hmmm. I was able to do what you said. But in that case it's not really opening up in big box is it? I'm basically just extending that screen from launchbox... And retroarch... I could do that without big box is my point I guess. I guess I have more poking around to do. I'll try more stuff and report back. By the way I did ask Gemini... Sometimes it has a point. It said something about setting up configurations for your PC and and the TV in retroarch. I don't know.
  7. Okay... so, Here's an update. I was able to download the Intel Graphics Command Center and manually adjust the sliders to fit the application to my screen perfectly! Now... If you could hep me get past this one more issue, I should be all set. I am able to navigate the games easily enough, but when I try to play a game, it opens on my laptop instead of on the TV. I'm stumped. Any idea?
  8. Yep... All things that I have poked at. I'm going to take a look at the Intel graphics command Center. I will of course update if anything works. Thanks again I really appreciate it!
  9. Thanks for responding! I tried to adjust those. I set them to the recommended settings which was 1280x720 and 100% scale. That didn't make any difference. I tried a couple other resolutions but they were way off. I see there is an option for setting a custom scale but it recommends not touching that because it would mess other things up. I feel like there may not be a solution here but if you have any other thoughts I'd appreciate it!
  10. Hey folks! I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I'm a Premium Launchbox user and have been a user of Launchbox for several years now, but I am only just now trying to get BigBox up and running. I have been able to hook up my laptop PC to a TV via an HDMI port and extend the image to my TV monitor. However, I am facing an issue. It seems no matter what I do, the image appears to be too large for the TV display. The top and bottom as well as right and left sides of the image is cropped off. I'm attaching a picture of the Laptop screen and the TV screen so you can understand better how things are looking. The TV itself doesn't appear to have any advanced aspect ratio controls. I believe it just does this stuff automatically, so I have no control over it. Can anyone give me any steps to try and resolve this issue. I can't be the only one. By the way, I am not using any sort of advanced gaming laptop... so maybe therein lies the problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! For you information. Here are the pertinent specs: Dell Inspiron 5584, Intel UHD Graphics 620, Windows 11, Display resolution at Recommended 1920X1080, Scale at Recommended 125% TV: Emerson HDTV, Model #LC220EM1 *Pics have been updated
  11. Ha! So, I guess I'm answering my own question. I did find that by doing that (hiding both) it does shift the games off center. So I guess just going with the left being hidden is the best option.
  12. So, I just found a game where there is actually a bar on the right. So, I tried hiding the bars on the left and right. It's seems like it's working out... Are there any known issues (as far as centering goes) when hiding both? Thanks again! BTW... I'm trying to mark this as the solution but I can't seem to find the option. I'm on my mobile device maybe that's only a desktop option?
  13. Excellent! I wish I had asked earlier. I'll have to go back and readjust a few games, but this works perfectly! Thank you!
  14. I will definitely give this a try. Thank you!
  15. Hey guys! I'm wondering how you all handle the black bars on the left side of many Sega Master System games. I realize that they are there to help maintain prosper aspect ratio, but I suppose it also really boils down to user preference. With games that let me do it without messing up centering too much, I will often adjust the settings on the game play screens to move the bars off the screen. Sometimes I don't because I don't wanna distort the image or leave the title and options screens off-center. It's mostly because I don't like the way it looks with the bars there, and I feel like its an imperfect experience. How do you handle this? Do you just let the bars remain? Is it bad to "stretch" the aspect ratio to remove them? FYI -- I am using RetroArch and also user-made bezels. Thank you!
  16. Thank you very much for you help. As it turns out the specific overlay that I was trying to save seems to have been the problem. I tried saving different ones and they worked and then I tried that one again and it didn't work. I ended up downloading an overlay that was was made by someone in another forum that I found to be perfect. So I'm all set for now. Thanks again!
  17. So, that was helpful and I was able to figure out how to select a different overlay. However, every time I do a core override or a configuration override or any sort of save it doesn't save it so is there something I could be doing wrong there?
  18. Hey thanks! I am using Retroarch. I'll try this. Where can I download the overlay packs?
  19. Hey guys! I can't seem to figure out how to change the controller overlay on the Android version of Launchbox. Can someone give me some guidance? I would like to set it up with an X-Box controller type layout or similar. No matter what I try it doesn't change from the standard D Pad layout. Thanks!
  20. Ah, okay. I sort of figured out a work around in that I put the roms I wanted in a folder and uploaded them from there. Of course some of them were the wrong versions so there's that. Unfortunately I'm using an older version of name on my computer so several of the ROMs I'm using I couldn't use on the 0.287 version that Android uses now. Thanks for answering!
  21. Hi everyone! I'm trying to export arcade games to android using the wizard. I only want to make a package of 30 games or so to export. Every time that I select the 30 games and then attempt to make the package for export, it copies over my entire arcade library! Oddly, it only copies the artwork and other info for the 30 selected games. So something is not right. Does anyone have any tips for getting this to work correctly? Thank you!
  22. Hey folks. I've been going through my Sega Genesis and Master system library and Tweaking the way each game fits on the screen withing the bezels that I am using. I'm using Retroarch. Everything was was working out really well, and then while I was inside the scaling menu, I must have accidentally changed something that has now made every game too large. It seems to be effecting retroarch globally... As both Genesis and master system games have been effected. Any ideas? Maybe if someone could tell me the proper scaling settings as well? I'm baffled.
  23. Ah right. It didn't occur to me at the time I looked at the game that it wasn't vector based. I appreciate you adding it.
  24. Ah yeah. I'm using a slightly older version. 0.251. So, you're saying that I would simply change the name of the folder to wotwc? And the text of the lay file doesn't have to be changed at all? Any thoughts in the "Barricade" game? *Just to update... I simply copied the contents of the wotw folder into the wotwc folder. Thanks!
  25. I just went through all of these and applied them. They all work brilliantly! The one exception (in my library anyway) was War of the Worlds with the file name wotw. I have the filename version, wotwc. That one does have a color overlay that already works with the bezel, but the additional overlay artwork is missing. That is one that would be awesome if you could check out. I did come across one other game that you might work on and add to the archive. Its a game by Ramtek called Barricade. The file name is Barricad. If I find other ones, I will let you know. Thanks so much for your work on these!
