  1. Yeah with Launchbox everything was fine but i had to reconfigure my other emulators for full feature sets (like Netplay with Retroarch) and edit my mame.ini But with Launchbox/Bigbox everything went fine - thank you for your support!
  2. Thank you - will try that today in the evening, hope everything will go fine ^^
  3. I just used the default Path of the installer ?! Has that maybe something todo with Windows 11 ? Lets ask the question in another way: I see that alot of paths in launchbox are "relative" - so atleast i think launchbox always launches the roms from "its own rootpath" ? Because then i think it should be no Problem, sorry about my stupid questions, just using it for 7 days but think its awesome so far
  4. Hi! Thanks for your reply: Uhm ... when you "import" the roms as i always did the Games get saved in the Appdata Folder of the user in Launchbox/Games ? Thats why i asked - i configured also all my emulators that they use the user/Appdata/Launchbox/Games directory for that
  5. Hi all! Wanted to ask before i have to reconfigure everything from new - is it possible that im moving my user/Appdata directory (via Windows) to a new Harddisc ? Ive bought a new SSD for my minipc and want to migrate all that stuff to the new bigger one - so i thought i just move my Appdata directory - but will this break my current Launchbox/Bigbox configuration ? If this is not possible are there other methods to migrate Launchbox/Bigbox to other Harddrives ? Thanks
  6. on a cabinet... well nah because searching gets more cumbersome, i only restrict by emulators (MAME Current, FBNEO, Retroarch or Teknoparrot) so i can use the per Wheel Search Feature on Bigbox More efficiently Also ... i have alot of Playlists for "Versioned Titles" Like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Metal Slug and so on which are alot of time not on a Single Platform... As also for my Favgenres (Lightgun, Beat em Up, Gallery Shooters) And sure - when you use Current Mame (without Retroarch) you also can get in Problems when Platforms finally work (like the last NAMCO 10 System Update) with the emulator approach you get not so much headaches (one of the headaches was gamsharaj since the Mame Team renamed it in gamsharao - and i needed alot of digging and time to find that out) On Systems Like Lindbergh, Triforce, Chihiro, PC based Arcade Platforms when you even put EVERY Namco System in their own PCB Category (NAMCO WARP up to System N2) you get bonkers with searching for a Game I thnk that highly dependent if you Collect or Play daily ^^
  7. I had a similar Issue as i had Controller Support activated on Launchbox AND Bigbox How does your Encoder Map the Stick ? as Analog or Directional Pad ? Mine maps it on the Analog Joystick (so my Joystickmovement in Desktop Launchbox gets translated into a Mouse) as also doesnt understand XInput Try to disable the Controllersupport in Launchbox (and restart it) and start the game with Mouse/Keyboard in Launchbox, if this fixes your NES issue - maybe thats a Bug in Launchbox since i had the exact same issue with BigBox (as also i have it on an Cabinet ^^) I dont know the Code of Launchbox but it smells like the "listening" of the Left Analog stick to convert it into mousemovement "restricts" the Controls in Childprocesses
  8. Hi all! Firsthand - im not a Noob what Retroarch/MAME/FBNEO belongs - and im 100% certain that this is a Problem with Launchbox/Bigbox (im also a Premium user) How can i setup Bigbox so the Retroarch Netplay Lobbybrowser works ? right now - via the default UI in Retroarch everything woks fine, i can connect, i can play - also my Retroarch Setup (Importing/assigning the cores/configs) i did beforehand of Bigbox/Lightbox so everything atleast works with pure Retroarch When i try otherhand to connect via Bigbox or Launchbox i get everytime "No games were found in your collection that match the ROM file for this session. To connect you will need the exact same ROM file. Also make sure that the import was made in the correct platform that matches the core in the RetroArch emulator list. " My roms are correctly assigned to the cores and i even made an experiment with a Friend of mine - connected to his FBNEO (since its most relyable emu for netplay) Street Fighter 2 Session via Retroarch Lobbybrowser with no Problems On Bigbox and launchbox i got again the errormessage. Can anyone help me to fix this please ?
  9. I saw many Threads here where People complained that their Controller works fine in Launchbox Desktop but didnt in BigBox, I had the same issue and found something interresting out. I have an selfbuilt arcade with 2 JXSS USB Decoders - this things weirdly map the Controls not on the DPAD but as Analog Sticks - If you have Controllers actvated on Launchbox Desktop AND BigBox - the joystick works as mouse just fine in Desktop Mode BUT the directions dont work on BigBox anymore. Disabling Controllers on Launchbox Desktop and Activating (and Setting the Controller) in BigBox alone fixed my Issue. I hope that helps others. Cheers
