  1. I did some more digging but in a different direction. For me, the controls were good for some games automatically but for others not at all. Inside MAME itself you could see that where I had my default for player 1 button 1 set to a key, there was Joy A behind it. For other games it was the same key but with Joy Y behind it for some reason. Searching for something similar brought me to a Reddit post telling to fix this you should turn off the core option named 'profile buttons according to game'. I did that, cleaned up all my configs including the default, setup the general keys and presto, it works! Hope this helps anyone coming across the same problem!
  2. I understand but too bad, that is not helping me. The reason I use retroarch is because of other things that are much easier to set up (at least for me, bezels, shaders, etc.)
  3. Took me somewhat longer, sorry. Sadly enough it still did not work out.
  4. I thought I have done that before but not sure anymore so I will go try that tomorrow.
  5. Will try that soon thanks! Well if I do that, then for that system it is ok but others seem to still default to the 'unfindable' configuration.
  6. Too bad, it is set to the saves/name/cfg directory but it is still loading something different than stated in the default configuration
  7. I am currently using launchbox in combination with retroArch to run mame (yes I know, native mame is better 😁) The problem I have, is that the default controls for mame are changed by me (found in the saves/mame directory of retroarch) but now games I started up earlier don't use this default configuration, even if the config file in that same directory (saves/name) is deleted. Games I didn't start before are ok so there must be some kind of configuration elsewhere. No config files can be found and I am at loss, I have looked everywhere I think. Anyone have some idea of how to reset these games to load the default again? Thanks!
  8. Not sure what is the difference between the 2 ways of starting a game, but I have recreated the XML file of MAME based on the rom sets I have (merged) and now it works every time, for both situations. So, case closed.
  9. This worked for me. Just a question: Of course, it is better to use Mame instead of RA, but for me it seems that making the bezels possible with RA is very easy and I struggled trying with just standalone Mame. I could not find a good guide on how to achieve this, so I kept using RA just for that. Any tips on how to get the RA bezels to work on standalone Mame?
  10. Hello Launchboxers! I am building an arcade machine and trying to make the combination of Launchbox, Retroarch (Mame libretro current) and LEDBlinky. The problem I have is that when starting a game by Retroarch with the MAME core ((which is the default for the platform and each game I have), LEDBlinky does not detect the game and so colors are not applied. When right clicking a game and specifically tell Launchbox to start it with mame-libretro (same core!), it works just fine! So: 1) Run with default emulator / default core (mame-libretro) does not trigger LEDBlinky 2) Run by specifically telling Launchbox to run with mame-libretro does trigger LEDBlinky Can anyone tell me the difference between the two or how to make this work? Or is there a way to see how Launchbox actually starts things up? (I tried debugging, but the command is not there) Thanks!
