Nope they wont do a Linux Version because Launchbox is Windows (WPF) implenented.
Isn't there anything that can be done to make it work through Wine?

Waht about running the android launchbox app via Waydroid on cache os? Has someone tried?
greetings
The one I'm interested in is the desktop version of Windows.
Any progress on running it via Wine? -

After working on my own Version of a LaunchBox like Tool in Linux for over a month i can say it is definitively possible to create a great frontend in Linux......You just need to do it, there are no technical hurdles anymore !!
I worked with C#/Avalonia, and i see no hard technical barrier.....
But still my app sucks compared to LaunchBox so i would gladly buy the tool as soon as it is released, hell just release a toned down version.
and an Arcade View which i copied/made after a theme from Attract Mode
Perhaps you could offer to collaborate with them!

I'm starting to lose hope of seeing a native version for Linux. Especially a desktop version, which seems like it will never exist.
So I'm considering two options:
1- Wait patiently until it works properly with Wine.
2- Create my own version. Although this is unlikely, since I'm a beginner programmer. But the idea is there. Isn't there an experienced programmer or group of programmers who has considered this?
We need a desktop version of Launcher, like the non-BigBox version!-

Even if it were to work in Lutris,Proton etc what about the emulators? Wouldn't we need to a wrapper to use the naive Linux versions?
Maybe. That's something the developers could perhaps help with.

If anyone has better results, please share them. I've tried it in Lutris and Bottles, but without success.

I miss Launchbox a lot now that I'm on Linux.

I hope it will be similar to Launchbox Desktop and not Launchbox Android.

Well good news, we can use months as a unit of measure! I mean a year is nothing more than 12 months right?

I have already switched to Linux. It would be nice if the Linux version of Launchbox were released in the coming months. 🐵

Here's another one using Windows only, just to use Launchbox. I don't plan on installing Windows 11, so when Windows 10 support ends, I'll definitely migrate to Linux. I hope there'll be a Linux version of Launchbox by then.

Thanks for the report.
Can you be more specific with regards to what system you are trying to import, and the exact steps you used to import?

Hi, I get a crash when I try to import a system. Specifically “System.NullReferenceException”. If more data is needed, please ask for it.

Thanks. Even easier. Create the standard system settings for widescreen games. Then you only have to configure the bezels individually for 4:3 games.

Done. Thanks for your help. I had “Aggressive Startup Window Hiding” enabled. I have disabled it and it works.
I will try the transparent bezels. I don't know how they are done though. Thanks again. ^ ^

Hello, I find it impossible to configure it for Duckstation. The image of the game is not displayed, it stays behind. I have tried, but I have not succeeded.
Changing the subject, will it be possible in the future to make it so that no Bezel is loaded in certain games? For widescreen ones, for example.

Check that you don't have DuckStation set to run in fullscreen.
- The command line parameters (LaunchBox - Tools - Manage - Emulators...) should only have -nogui (and not contain -fullscreen).
- Open the emulator and in Settings - General, make sure the checkbox "Start Fullscreen" is not checked.
In LaunchBox, Tools - BezelLauncher Setup, edit Sony Playstation - DuckStation and verify the box, per Suggested parameter checkbox(es), is checked. (Hide Game Startup (g)) And none the of the other parameter checkboxes are checked.
I will give it a try. Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for your work!
I have problems with Duckstation. The games launch but stay hidden, they are not visible. Can anyone help me to configure it?
With BigPEmu for example it works perfect.
Thank you!
What's the best way to run Launchbox in Linux?

Taking that problem into account, for me that would be the way forward, to make it compatible with Wine, instead of dedicating efforts to native development.
