Well, thanks for asking.
First of all LB already exceeded my expectations for what I was looking for!
I just searched up how to handle saves & states today because im setting up LB for the third time. (My mobo had a technical issue so needed to be swapped, also upgraded HDs etc.)
And offcourse I had played some retrogames before, but the saves were all over the place. I use several platforms and got a bit overwelmed of the idea to fetch all those saves from different folders, categorize them, and finding a way to put them back again after a fresh install.
So yeah, that's the reason I found this page in the first place. The save feature is already a good thing don't get me wrong. But for people with a lot of Roms (350+, not counting MAME), it can be a hassle to set up every time for each individual game.
All emulators have their own way of saving, so kudos for solving that problem (be it only for retroarch for now).
But because i have a large library of roms, i foresee a tedious and time consuming task to reload saves & states for multiple roms across different platforms, something that could be automated/made easier like other features on LB.
Just my two cents, I know its probably a complex feature. I don't know programming. Maybe also possible with cloud backups at a monthly price? (I'm just wishful thinking here)
Kind regards,
Manos
