at the end i wasn´t the only one who noticed that as I said in an old topic .. for me was the 5.6 version the perfect release... Launchbox was then very very fast ... now im on 5.10 and it starts up a bit faster than 5.7-5.9 but nothing like before :( with this new boot screen i have noticed that it takes the most part of the time when the message "populating emulators" is being displayed (and I only have 3 emulators linked to launchbox). So i though posting that information could be helpful in order to solve this "issue" :)

I was playing snes games with this emulator on the 5.9 version of launchbox.. until I realized that sometimes, I would say 50% of the time, my games didn´t save (in sram mode).. after a bit of digging, i found that the default Autohotkey script for close snes9x with the ESC key was responsible. ; This section closes Snes9x when pressing Escape $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} } Maybe does the emulator saves games right after closing it "normally".. but what this script does it to "force" close with the "ESC" key and therefor there is "sometimes" no save game. I use the very last snes9x´s build, which has the option of bind a key to close the emulator, unfortunately you can´t choose ESC as your quit key.. but you can use autohotkey to change "your choosen key to ESC"... for example I used END to quit snes9x.. so my autohotkey script looks like: ; This section closes Snes9x when pressing Escape Esc::End and boila! now snes9x saves every time and I can use ESC to quit it ... that easy :) I wanted to report this in order to help others. on XP I use the 4.6 premium version.. I don´t need to update. 1. because that laptop is too far away in the mountains without internet connection and 2. because it works flawless:) that little issue from the topic occurs on another laptop with windows 10 N installed :)

no, i didn´t increased the size of my collection and I have the same settings as on 5.5... Anyway as I said before.. this is NOT a big deal..I am very VERY happy with the performance of this launcher.. so much so that i always bring an old laptop with just windows xp and launchbox installed on it to the andes mountains and I play there in the middle of nowhere where is no people in miles and miles... then I think "Jason would be proud that his software made it that far" :P thank you

Hi; First of all sorry for my english.. i was very happy with premium version of launchbox 5.5 and I don´t know why I did an update today to the last 5.7 version.. now my launchbox takes a bit more to start up.. it´s actually not a big deal.. but I liked the way launchbox 5.5 started almost "on the fly" before on my computer and now i have to wait 5 to 6 seconds before i can select a game :( .. maybe there are too many new features that made this build bulkier.. or I don´t know .. i just loved the lighter 5.5 version .. it was perfect for me.. is there a way to download the older builds of launchbox instead of the newest one?? As I said is not a big deal.. but I was really happy with my older version :( PD: maybe as a feature request.. you can make a lighter version of launchbox. without bigbox for example in order to be faster.

Windows should have that configuration saved so the next time you open it, how ever that is, it should open properly. If you never shut it down in a way that it can properly save the size config then that could be it. I´m pretty sure I shut down windows in a proper way.. but as I said sometimes i have to deal with this tiny problem... most of the time not, maybe it just happens with windows xp i don´t know.. anyway.. it isn´t a big problem :S Thanks for your responses!

SentaiBrad said This will happen to me once in a very blue moon. I suspect that it has to do with LB closing too fast, or not properly. Do you have a decent PC? LB can take a surprising amount of resources depending on how large your library is. If it sometimes relaunches how you want it, then it can't be a Windows problem per se, but it still could be. Open it, set it how you want then hit File > Exit. See if that saves the size? You could also try a new install and see if that works. Put the .exe in a new folder and see if it saves it then. That also happens to me 1 of 10 times .. but it happens.. maybe you are right.. I like to run launchbox automatic with windows.. so when i start the pc the app is already popped up and most of the time i really don´t close it... it does automatic when I shut down windows.. then your theory can be right .... but I really don´t want to hit FILE>Exit every time. My Laptop is also a bit old and using windows xp.. but that´s why i love this app.. it runs very fast and without problems (just this tiny one) even in my old machine as about the accent..im pretty sure it´s bug from the generation of the licence.xml file... I have the language pack installed.. and no matter which software I use to open this xml file.. i see the odd characters already there.. thanks for your response!

Hello; i recently purchased a premium license and I loved the spacing option... problem is.. differents platforms have differents game front cover sizes... so for example if you change the spacing options thinking of your sega megadrive collection.. it will look fine for this platform but bad for your snes collection which uses wides front covers.. i dont know if i explain myself right (english isnt my mother tongue). but i suggest an option where you can asign differents spacings for the differents platform, it would be awesome. greetings.

Hello, first of all thanks for this awesome front end.. i was looking for a long time for something like this and i really love what you have done here.. today i purchased my license as a way to say thank you for this work Ok, as for the problem... it isn´t really a big problem.. but sometimes when I start Launchbox it doesn´t remeber the last window size (from the last season) of the app and it starts in a small window.. so i have to resize it again the way it was before.. this doesn´t happens every single time I start a new launchbox season.. but sometimes it does.. I really don´t know why... I use windows xp if this helps... i hope you can help me out with that greetings PS: another thing... when you have a premium license.. you get your name on the windows title.. my name has an accent (á).. so instead of my name i get some weird characters :S
