  1. Thanks Jason, I was thinking the same thing, I don't know why the 360 controller works fine and this doesn't. Both are xinput obviously. Anyway, much appreciated and let me know what you find :)
  2. Hey guys, I have been unable to get my Xbox One controller to work with BigBox. I had a 360 controller configured before I attempted to use the One controller. I've tried disconnecting the 360 receiver entirely and changing usb ports and selecting "all controllers" within BigBox. When I go into the BigBox controller settings, the controller does not show up at all. The controller works fine in Steam and other applications. I'm running Windows 10. Not supported yet?
  3. I had this same issue. Maybe the solution won't be the exact same for you but it's worth a shot. I initially had all my Mame roms imported into LaunchBox and copied into the LaunchBox games folder. They were not located anywhere else on my PC. Read: none of my roms were actually sitting in the rom directory inside of the Mame install itself. Same results, I'd launch a game and get a glimpse of the initializing screen. What I did was copy all my roms into the Mame roms folder as well (so now I have a copy in LaunchBox's games folder and in Mame's roms folder). This corrected the issue and they all launch fine now. I believe Mame checks it's own roms directory upon launching a game, and likely still reads the roms from there regardless of where they are launched from. This may be further supported because I have games that require CHD's to launch, and those CHD's are ONLY located in my Mame roms directory, not anywhere in launchbox's game directory. Yet, I launch those from the game's zip stored in the LaunchBox games folder and they work fine, even though the CHD's are not in the same folder with them. I do not know of a way to force Mame to read it's roms from a different directory other than it's own, but I'm sure there is one. Note: I found the exact same situation to be true of the Atomiswave emulator within Demul
  4. oh good to know on item #2, I'll give it a go without renaming them. Thanks!
  5. Hi Jason and community, I've been using LaunchBox for a little over a month now (jumped right in with the premium version after seeing that big box video :). In that time, I've scoured the forums for tips and notes while building out my setup. I've not had to post a single question as of yet, and that's a testament to both the product and the community. I'm running a moderately complex setup that includes multiple RetroArch cores, Demul and PCSX2 to name just a few. I also have been able to import videos from EmuMovies with relative ease for my entire collection. BigBox looks really friggin sweet with all those videos in there :) So anyway, kudos on the product and I'm glad I decided to go this route for my setup. A couple quick suggestions that are likely already on the list (or maybe they already exist and I haven't stumbled across them yet). 1. Saving themes in BigBox would be awesome. For example, alternate sound effects as you scroll through your collection, different fonts and additional visual effects, etc. I realize I could probably just replace the default sounds and such with my own, but this would be awesome if we had base themes to choose from, manipulate, and save independently. 2. Importing Media - I know this is already a subject that has shown up multiple times in the forums. Importing the videos from EmuMovies was mostly easy. However, screenshots, boxes and other art are a little more time consuming. At least from what I've seen, you have to import 1 file at a time in the "edit x game" menu. If I remember correctly, the files are then named what the game is named in LaunchBox, NOT what the filename of the game is. EmuMovies renames all the pictures, manuals, etc as the name of the game's file. This will make updating and adding these items difficult as I'll have to import them 1 by 1, or change all the file names before dropping them into the correct folder in LaunchBox. Again, thank you all for making this an awesome experience and I look forward to the future of LaunchBox!!
