  1. Please Help! Came back from the Denstist and cold need some Game now ;-)
  2. will i ever come to play.... last week got this problem when i installed kodi and did come into Suspend mode accidently....no boot up for days untill i found out to remove the bios battery... then got back from holiday and was excited today found out after the update all the Covers now been Downloaded over night after the gamesDB not functioning. then need to config some cores i have'nt set in the list while importing and just chose WinUAE, set default core for every plattform in RETROARCH and added command lines for missing Cores. same for Amiga WinUAE...working fine with Amiga Games!!! BUT! now all other platforms do open with WinUAE only Dreamcast games which i added today and set the emu to NullDC on Import do Launch correct! i deleted all the non amiga plattforms in WinUAE but no luck...then i deleted the WinUAE emu completley from launchbox, no luck, even after adding it back now the Amiga games also dont work, it says: emulator no longer exists, edit the game?....that's 20 000 games to edit??? wonder why does this Launchbox are so crackling...do i have to reinstall it again? Can't believe it!
  3. same here.... takes long time and spitts out error messages.. i switched localdb and thegamesdb off and only use wikipedia for now, it' fast again and i will update the metadata later overnight ....and looks like Emumovies are down too
  4. hi! i was importing my Amiga Demos and thought it whould be Nice to have any covers or screenshots on it... i got this Demobase from Gamebase but it won't run, there i got lots of Screenshots i cold import to Launchbox but the demos are in a special Gamebase Format and my collection titled diffrent... when there whould be a DemoDB like thegamedb that whould be a dream! Also it whould be sooo nice to get all My Music CD's into Launchbox and Finally Movies! since there are lots of music and movie databases... Any Chance the future will bring these Features? Greetings!
  5. SentaiBrad said Yea removing a platform doesn't remove the games on purpose. Also, if you want to import duplicates (which is fine), check the import duplicates option. I also suggest users to not bulk rename anything in ( ). It is better to have the E, U and J identifiers. If I recall there is a ticket in our BitBucket (if there isn't I might create it, but I could of sworn I seen it before) that the importer will see (USA) or (Japan) or (E) or (J) etc, and identify the games accordingly. One of the main reasons this hasn't been implemented already is because it will bog down the importer with more and more logic. However, if enough users want it then it will seriously get considered. thought that...removing year and region could affect the importer search for metadata.
  6. ok thanx! Yeah setting up Launchbox isn't that easy i looked in the youtube videos :-D importing now.... everything looks fine, CPS1 CPS22 Vectrex Neo Geo Atari Jaguar (but not 1 cover this time!?) Now on PC Engine, needs some more time... What whould be nice is a Core List to Enter the .dll at the Platforms....some cores need to be entered manualy and the Libreto/Retroarch Wiki is not comfortable to read Greetings
  7. i deleted the platform on Manage platforms....with Ctrl A you mean chose them on the frontend and delete? i think that is also the "emumovies problem"...i just looked like, but was because i just deleted the platforms ... thanx for help!
  8. added C64 Platform and wanna make a second called C64 II, but it won't import games that where already importet on C64.... so i delete C64 and wanna just import C64 II..... but it looks like there is no way importing it again without reinstall the whole programm... that sucks, you can't even import a Favorite Game folder and have to browse the endless list... or you spend hours picking everything out of 7000 games???
  9. SentaiBrad said Go in to the options and see if the Beta Update box is checked. If it's not, check it and restart. as i testet it last night befor the new install: i have to say i still got the error: Can't import any Games after re-used the emumovies function First i did add a folder with 4000 Amiga games but was missing a lot of games after import, then i add another collection with 7300 C64 games to reach the limit.....it .just added 6000 or so after that i added few more systems, still working but curious on NeoGeo it do only add the metal3jp.zip name and no cover. then after a while i says on every import 0 Games Added, even deleting the collections did not help,Beta ON. Good i have checked befor did the Finall install ;-)
  10. hi! Finally got my Collection Cleaned and Ready for a new install... 1G 1R Tutorial for any System: Found a Fast and Save way to get 1Game 1Rom out of these endless Folders: To make it short: i just pre-sort a folder into the regions E,US,JP etc, after that i run a programm called Bulk Rename Utillity to remove everything after the game title that starts after "(".....then removing all the "(" and trim the last space after the title: the final change whould be: Afterburner.adf and because you get a few files with the same exact name now, you can make it to delete all but keep 1! Of course it can't chose automaticly the best Version but you will end up with a 1G1R Game Collection, what you have to do first is make a Backup of your Collection if you need to Replace a Game later AND you need to search for ALL NON Disk 1/01/A and save them in a Folder because you Need them Unchanged in there name to find later..... ...now i whould Backup the Renamed Games again and Adding the US,JP or any other Folder i got Divided at the beginning but also Renamed: that way you can only add Games that are missing from US to the EU, just skip the ones you got already in EU Version and so on with Japan etc........ Now you can Check for last Duplicates wit DupeGuru a programm where you can set the filter to 99% or less to find games that match not 100% --- Now you can add the Folder to your Launchbox and getting all 1 Game Collection!!!
  11. i't s checked...but i can try one time! Because i decieded to Oganize My Collection Clean befor importing, Sort out all Bios,Proto,Beta,REV,Alt,Korea,Brazil etc, So i only have the Euro/USA games to import and Non Doubles, can't wait to see a more complete cover display in LaunchBox .-) And i got even a Solution to import all Amiga Games that have more than 1 Disk: I seperate all Disk 2-xx and Disk B-x and Disk0 with the Search function, put them in a Folder Called "Disk 2" of course you have to check the Disk2 Folder again for Disk1 Files (Some Games with nummber 2 and Disk1 in the text mostly) it took 30minutes to sort 4500 files and finally reduced to 2500 files in a Folder where every File is 1 Game and no duplicates! So i can now import just that folder and got it all in clean....if i need disk2 or so i just can open it in the other folder or add disk to in applications at a induvidual Game! Same Technique you can make with other Systems: If you Need Disk 2 in a same folder u can just Backup the Disk1 folder and Merge Disk1 and Disk2 folder after importing just the Disk1 folder.....so you can go Import anytime new if needed without the work again! Hope this Trick is Bugfree :-) well still not tested all...ben on for over 3 weeks now :-) since Rebooted my Amiga and GB's coming in day & night :-D Have a Nice Day!
  12. SentaiBrad said The daily limit is something we can't fix, but the bug is fixed by updating to the Beta. Yea, I am going to create that FAQ. If anyone see's this and wants something added to it, please let me know. I will start compiling it. i think i have updated to the beta on the second install but anyway cold not add games again....since then i select None at emumovies...
  13. DOS76 said I'm glad you did this way you could teach me how to move stuff around without having to re-import everything again. Also maybe there could be and FAQ added to keep these questions from being asked over and over again. a FAQ whould be great.... as i told in the first post, this Emumovies bug (reach daily limit and won't add games anymore) toke my a time to find out and forced me to reinstall. Greetings!
  14. Running! Realized it says it can't find the Emulator Path not the Rom Path! when i added a game to a platform i saw it had changed the directory letter for the emulator also to F: but my Emus remain on C: .....so changed that back to F: and Voila! Runs the Emu from C and the Rom's from F :-D Thanx a Very lot for Helping me out!
  15. SentaiBrad said So Ctrl + F, click the Replace tab at the top, search for ..\..\..\ and replace that with F:\ Then click replace all. Logic but no Sucess.... it changed the path from ..\..\..\F:\Z - Rom's\LaunchBox to F:\Z - Rom's\LaunchBox but stilll Launchbox can't find it.......i believe i'm starting all over with a Reiinstall
  16. SentaiBrad said You also don't need to delete any files with your CD games. Most emulators want cue sheets, and of course you need the bin and iso image along with it, so what do you do here? When you import games use "Add files". Navigate to the folder of roms you want to import, then at the top right is the windows search function. In here type exactly "*.iso" then it will search that folder for any files with the extension you input. It can be iso, cue, chd, nes, anything you want. Once if finds the files, Ctrl + A to highlight them all and click add. If you have more files that you need to add with different file extensions click add files again, repeat the search process for the different files. Most of my PS2 games are iso, but some are mds and bin. Derek is correct, if they are using relative paths you can move the files up to the file path that is actually there. So as long as the part you can read in the XML matches the new file path you're all good. If they do have a drive associated with them, like C:\Emulators\ then using Notepad++ (or another program with a similar function, this is just what we suggest here) and you are moving it to your D:\ drive, as long as the new path is D:\Emulators\ then just Replace All C:\ with D:\. I have all of my roms on my external in my Emulators folder and nothing takes too long to load. Nothing gets as long as Fallout 4. If I put my PS2, Wii, Gamecube and PSP games on an SSD, maybe there would be an increase in performance, but it would be negligible. If the drive is USB2 it should be just fine, and if it is USB3 then that is much better. Thanx! i deletet just from the last page on importing....But Hell your right! chossing Add Files and Search for .cue whould saved my a Day of work :-D Can't find C:| ....not even see it on the text in the XML file.... Downloading notepad plus now...
  17. thanx! but it did'nt work.... it says: file doies not exist in path... but wenn i open a game in edit window there it has changed to F: Grezz Acidstorm
  18. Thanx! already read that... but after have over 100 programms installed i wanna avoid Notepad and use the Editor in TotalCommander 7.5 does have the same feature but can't find the drive before the path .........looks like = ..\..\..\Z - Rom's\LaunchBox\Nintendo NES it will find = \Z - Rom's\LaunchBox\Nintendo NES but when i search for C:\Z - Rom's\LaunchBox\Nintendo NES won't find anything and yes backedup the file for badluck ;-) thanx again!!! ben on it for days and wanna get it done at last!
  19. Hi! i’m New here, grownup with Commodore C64 & Amiga after years i’m back into Emulation and i must say Launchbox is really a masterpiece! First i’m testing the free version but wanna upgrade soon! But i must say as Easy as it locks it more for the HardCoreComputerFreaks :-D because i’m setting it up twice to find out the error from emumovies if you got to much games! Also had to realize it not just search for rom files only so i had to delet all the .bin.mp3.cdda files and thah is a hell of a work at some cd games. Now i have imported all again with deleting manualy before importing..... But here is my new Problem = I think i had to do it all again a 3rd time because as many of you i figured out to get short of space at my local HDD where i also have installed Launchbox, For backup safety i had already copied the rom’s folder on a EXTERNAL HDD (only USB2) first thought only to run the heavy GB folders from the External but now i want have all Rom’s on the External........Now Read about to Change the Path on XML but i can not find any C:/ Drive only the path after C like \Roms\Launchbox\Amiga CD32 for example........if i only cold change the C to E that whould do the job??? And if run the rom’s from External HDD will it affect Running Stable? sure it will increase load times but i guess not painfully Thanx in advance for HELP! Grezz Acidstorm
