    Looking in the documentation on the Xemu website there are no command-line parameters for resolution scaling. Although there is a parameter (-config_path), which you can use to tell Xemu to use an alternative config file (xemu.toml). Make a copy of xemu.toml and rename it to, for example, the name of your game. Open that copy of xemu.toml with an text editor and set your desired resolution scale factor from 1 to 10.

    [display.quality]
    surface_scale = 1

    Example for LaunchBox custom command-line parameter:

    -full-screen -dvd_path %romfile% -config_path "E:\LaunchBox\Emulators\Microsoft Xbox\xemu\Halo.toml"

    Make sure that -config_path points to your location of the copy of xemu.toml and is between double quotes.

    That worked well... Thank you!.... I decided to make .toml files for each of the resolution scales instead of on a per game basis

    DO you have any insight on how to make Xemu portable??

  2. I have my all my launchbox images and roms on my NAS.  I do have a delay but it is only 1-2 seconds, the only real lag is when a large disk based image needs to decompressed.  You have to be very wary of your network components.. I am using an WRT ACM3200 with a QNAP 669L.  I am looking into link aggregation/bonding to speed things up.. not sure if its going to help

  3. Tried to run CEMU through launchbox and I am getting an error that says that it can't find the emulator path. it I right click on the game and select open CEMU it gives me this error System.ArgumentException: URI formats are not supported. at System.IO.Path.NormalizePath(String path, Boolean fullCheck, Int32 maxPathLength, Boolean expandShortPaths) at System.IO.Path.GetFullPathInternal(String path) at System.IO.Directory.SetCurrentDirectory(String path) at (MainForm , Object , EventArgs ) at LaunchBox.Forms.MainForm.openEmulatorToolStripMenuItem_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.RaiseEvent(Object key, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripMenuItem.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
  4. ok... I tried it on my other system and neither system will load the rom. When I select a rom with launchbox through retroarch on my main system gives a message saying "retroarch has stopped working" which would lead me to believe that launchbox is loading the wrong core. when selecting that exact same rom through retroarch directly it works fine. On my other system when using using launchbox nothing happens... no error message same exact settings. what would be the the emulator besides retroarch?
  5. thank you for taking the time to look into it....... what do you think hyperspin is doing to direct the emulator to the GDI file once the folder is unzipped? also I thought of using .cdi images but demul doesn't read them.. which seems to be the best of the emulators
  6. I have been testing many different ways to play dreamcast games through launchbox. pointing to a .GDI file inside the game folder works fine. pointing to an .ISO works as well..... pointing to a zipped .ISO works as well..... my issue is a way to compress the .GDI and its respective files. I have tried to compress the folder containing the files which worked with Hyperspin.. but doesn't work with launchbox...... I then tried compressing the files not in a folder and pointing to the .zip and that also didn't work. I believe it has something to do with the fact that after launchbox decompresses the files it doesn't load the .GDI... any help is appreciated
  7. Please Help I have been trying to add NeoGeo to the associated platforms list under retroarch and cannot seem to get it to work. I have been able to run the neogeo zip files directly through retroarch on both the fba core and the mame2014 core but when adding the platform NeoGeo with either -L "cores\mame2014_libretro.dll" or -L "cores\fb_alpha_neo_libretro.dll" neither will work. I know its not the bios file as that is in place in the system folder or retroarch. To me it seems there is something broken when adding platforms to retroarch in launchbox. I love the program and I want to thank the development team for their hard workLaugh
  8. I have been building PC's for years but this was my first PC with watercooling. As emulation was gaining steam and VR started coming back into the picture PC's as gaming machines are getting more attention. My goal was something that fits in with other home theater components in a livingroom. I wanted it small, quiet, and powerful so the wives wouldn't objectLaugh. So onto the specs I7 4790K running at 4.6 GHz 16 GB or ram 256GB SSD GTX 980ti running at 1490Mhz Custom hand brushed aluminium magnetic faceplate with RGB power switch that syncs with the RGB interior lights. CPU and GPU custom watercooling loop with EK GPU waterblock. 20160415_101806.jpg20160415_101829.jpg20160415_101906.jpg20160415_101954.jpg20160415_102252.jpg20160415_102032.jpg I want to thank the developers of the launchbox software its fantastic and I happily paid for the lifetime license... imagine a VR version of this... hmmmmm

    Adik said I finally found a solve !!!! The problem was the "Threaded Video" option in RetroArch. When I disabled the option, everything worked perfectly :D Thank you all for help :D
    Threaded Video should always be disabled unless absolutely necessary to get a core to run games at an acceptable speed
    I will check once I am off work... dumb mistake if it is spelled wrong
  10. I am also having the same problem.... I can launch the games directly through retroarch but when I select a game through launchbox it will load reicast into the add date and time page ... which is not saving...but not the rom itself. I have added the platform by editing the retroarch emulator in the manage emulators page .. adding the platform Seag Dreamcast and -L "cores eicast_libretro.dll" into the command line parameters. I then went and selected all games and made sure that the emulator for all games is retroarch... am I missing something?
