  7. BlackSol said Kristijan1001 said Its ok the answer i was hoping for was just a simple answer of my question but i got accused or piracy instead, its like i was going to torrent it or use cracked version of it.But its all good. Thanks for ur time @Zombeaver gave you a simple answer when they said: Zombeaver said When you buy a license, you are buying a license for use on as many of your computers as you wish - not you and your buddies (or vice versa). You just don't appear to have liked that answer. Not really he could ended it there but he continued to tell me stories for adobe and accusing of piracy, but what i only did was ask...but whatever floats your/his boat.As i said just move on.A mod/admin can go on close/remove this topic.
  8. Zombeaver said Kristijan1001 said the comparison u did with adobe was just stupid Adobe has a line of software products that people can use, some of which are free (Adobe Reader, Photoshop Express, Flash Player, Air, Shockwave, etc.) and some of which require a premium to access (Photoshop, In Design, etc.). If you were to have access to Photoshop, a premium product in their line, without paying for it, it would be piracy. Launchbox has certain modules/features that people can use, some of which are free (base Launchbox without premium features) and some which require a premium to access (Big Box, and premium features). If you were to have access to Big Box, a premium feature, without paying for it, it would be piracy. Not only is it not a stupid comparison, it's about as close as you could get. Kristijan1001 said most of programs have drm and have support for like 3pcs(so u can't actually do that if its not drm free also im pritty sure even if it was possible the lincence would get terminated really quickly) Yep. Which is precisely why I differentiated between whether or not you can and whether or not you should for Launchbox. It is DRM free, which means there isn't anything systemically (to my knowledge) that would stop you from doing what you're suggesting. But you shouldn't. I'm sorry you didn't get the answer you were hoping for. Launchbox will still take care of your basic needs until you can save up to purchase a license yourself. The extra bells and whistles are neat, but not essential. Its ok the answer i was hoping for was just a simple answer of my question but i got accused or piracy instead, its like i was going to torrent it or use cracked version of it.But its all good. Thanks for ur time
  9. Zombeaver said How is it out of context? You're asking if you can have access to a product/level of service that you're required to pay for without paying for it. What other context is there? To have X you must pay Y. Did you pay Y for X? No? Then it's piracy. Pretty straightforward. If your friend has a Playstation game and he lends you the disc, and you take it home, and play it on your Playstation, and then a couple days later you give it back to him - that's not piracy, that's basically the same thing as renting it. If your friend has a Playstation game and he lends you the disc, and you rip that disc to your computer, and then give him back the disc and continue to play the rip... that is piracy. What you're asking for is the latter, not the former. Unless of course you're planning on deleting the license a couple days later I guess, which you gave no indication of. Again, when you buy a license, you are buying a license to use on your computer(s). Not for you and whoever else you decide to give your license to. The fact that it's DRM free means that you can do that on as many of your computers as you choose; it also means that if you choose to give your license to someone else, there's nothing systemically stopping you from doing so... but you shouldn't because that is the same thing as piracy, whether you realize/want to admit it or not. @SentaiBrad feel free to jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong on the spirit or logistics of any of this. You might have some point there, but iam not going out of my way to post it on the internet or anything similar the comparison u did with adobe was just stupid, most of programs have drm and have support for like 3pcs(so u can't actually do that if its not drm free also im pritty sure even if it was possible the lincence would get terminated really quickly),about the games i was thinking more of the digital side like psn games u can use on 2 consoles.anyways we can talk about this the whole day since its a big topic so lets just move on.
  10. Zombeaver said Can you? Technically, yeah. There's nothing stopping you, to my knowledge. Should you? ...no? Why would you think otherwise? When you buy a license, you are buying a license for use on as many of your computers as you wish - not you and your buddies (or vice versa). I mean, you do realize you're basically asking if it's okay to pirate a product on the forums of that product right? "Hey Adobe, I found a licensed version of Photoshop on The Pirate Bay. Somebody bought the license for it at some point I'm sure; I didn't, but someone did. Can I go ahead and use it? Is that cool with you?" Just save a bit and bite the bullet, it's worth it. Launchbox is still at your disposal, for free, until then. If you appreciate the benefits that Launchbox is providing you, chances are high that you'll appreciate those granted by a premium license as well. And if turns out you don't, or you have some problem that the community here isn't able to help you resolve, I believe Jason has always been good about granting refunds when necessary. I'm really not trying to be jerk, so don't take it that way, but come on man You went straight out of context to go even to pirating ,how is that the same in any way.So what you are telling me if my friend gameshares a game with me it means i pirate the GAME ? That absolutely makes no sense ,i asked this since it said its DRM free and that u can use it on Multiple PCs on the Main page.As for buying it i would love to buy it,its just i cant afford that much atm.As for being a jerk i believe u tried to be one but its ok everyone has their POV.Thanks for your awnser anyway.
  11. What i was wondering if you could share bigbox licence since my friend got one,if he can share it with me or how does it work. Also entered the giveaway but looks like its too late : ( Thanks
  12. SentaiBrad said Right, I think LB is prioritizing cue sheets for systems that require the game to be launched from it. Without waiting for an update to that functionality I would either make the iso's CSO files or remove the cue sheets from the archives. Something about the cue sheets PCSX2 is trying to launch them differently. Will update for this for sure happen cause i dont like to go through 600games :\ ?
  13. SentaiBrad said Re-reading your post, don't run the cue sheet. I don't even have cue sheets for my PS2 games, they're all in CSO format to save space. As i said my games are all in 7zip i cant just extract everything and remove the cue files,i know that the bin file works fine, but wat i need is for launchbox to run the bin instead of the cue.If cue isnt present launchbox starts the bin but if cue is present in the archive it runs the cue file and pcsx2 wont work.
  14. SentaiBrad said Where it says CDVD, click the dropdown and select the null plugin, or with that Plugin selected hit configure and make sure the Source Drive says @ (no disc). https://i.imgur.com/sBb1Lw3.png It gives me the same error.Doesn't work :*(
  15. SentaiBrad said Disable the DVD plugin in the plugins menu and it should work fine. Edit: You only need it if you have real discs in your PC. How do i disable it there isn't any way to do it only to select other plugins ?
  16. I have Launchbox set up with PCSX2 ,my games are in 7zip and i have the extract box ticked,All games work fine except the ones that include .bin and .cue inside the 7zip Archive. When i load those games .cue is being loaded and PCSX2 doesnt want to run the .cue but only the .bin file.If i run the .cue i get this error.Any help would be appreciated on how to go around this or fix it so all games work.
  17. DOS76 said I copied that image from another post and it is a little blurry you can find the original here i dont use retroarch at the moment
  18. DOS76 said Kawaks or Final Burn Alpha are both options but truthfully the fb_alpha_neo core in RA is the best Neo Geo emulator I've ever used. I got fba to work but full screen crashes each time :( Edit:fixed
  19. DOS76 said Kawaks or Final Burn Alpha are both options but truthfully the fb_alpha_neo core in RA is the best Neo Geo emulator I've ever used. I cant get it to work, each time i start a ROM its says its not supported, the roms are in zip's,i tried extract before running but still doesnt work
  20. SentaiBrad said Our Premium is not necessary for the Database at all. As far as expanding the offerings of our database, we're focusing on getting the Database fully operational. Right now we're focusing efforts to get full game submission available instead of just editing current games metadata. As far as the images EmuMovies offers, EM only fills in a small amount of titles that we don't have, but a majority of the images comes from our Database which is completely free. "Right now we're focusing efforts to get full game submission" You mean making roms available to download within the launcher ? If that so thats amazing !
  21. I just got neo geo games, and got NeoRAGEx as Emulator since that's the one that poped out, however whenever i launch a game the emulator just starts up and does nothing.Does anyone know any way around this ,some special config or maybe diffrent working emulator excluding mame and retroarch.Help would be really appriciated. Thank You.
  22. SentaiBrad said On the left click a system, highlight all the games in that system by clicking a game then using Ctrl + A, then use Tools -> Download Images and Metadata. Make sure to use the option to only download Metadata and Images that are empty. Also, our Database is quite impressive, and you're not going to find much more on EmuMovies. The only thing EmuMovies has that we don't is video which is Premium only anyways. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it too much. Our database is also going to start growing soon. Edit: Don't wanna forget they have music too. Even then, all said and done, they don't have video or music for every game, nor images. Combined with our DB there are more images, but as long as you also don't check to prioritize EmuMovies metadata (leave it unchecked) then I would be willing to bet (video and music aside) that more images are coming from us, and we don't have a download cap. Yea i want the music ,but in combo from LaunchBox And Emumovies u can get covers that u didnt have before. Are u guys planning on adding videos and music in LaunchBox database that will make premium 100% worth it?Also great app keep up the great work. Some minor thing i noticed some default configs when setting emulator have extract zip option checked as default which is not necessary for that emulator ,cant top of my mind which ones they were
  23. Can i download artwork for certain system i choose instead of clicking the "Tools>Download Meta Data And Images" button because launchbox then starts downloading for every system. Why i need this is because i don't have premium over emumovie and i want to download my artwork let's say 2 systems a day because of the 250mb limit instead of downloading for all systems at once..
