  1. Bah, nothing does what I feel it should do. Going to try Calibre again, but its such a clunky piece of app when your library sizes start getting on the large side.

Another side note, plex forum has been requesting this kind of functionality for over a decade LOL https://forums.plex.tv/t/plexreader-comics-books-pdfs/26684/870

Yup i been looking into EVERY possible app for this :P ComicRack looked as though it had potential if it kept up development. Such a shame.

  2. Ya... On thinking more I just don't think this is quite the right app. Close, but not quite. I dunno if the DEVS are interested or not, but a large internet search shows that this type of app specifically is actually in quite large demand as there is nothing  any good available really. Could be a money maker, if it's not to big of a task. But I am just an ole dude who knows nothing about programming.  Would recommend some serious thought and research into this though. It just may prove a worthy project if even down the road. Comics and their collecting have become  a lot more popular than many would think, and most platforms, inventory apps, and display apps are an atrocious collection of mashup software LOL

PS. tnx for the response DOS76, wasn't sure I would be humored on this subject

  3. Been away from LB/BB scene for a few years and decided to pop in tonight and saw this. my jaw drops and mind starts wandering as I myself literally just got bit by the comic nostalgia bug a few weeks back. The one thing I am concerned with is this. Your video showed it going i believe 2 layers deep. Hopefully that makes sense. I would like to be able to go 4 or maybe even 6 layers deep. Specifically because I order my comics in a specific way. Is this possible or am I grasping air with this idea. Side note, my comics library is sitting at just over 90K.

    cheers m8s

  4. Just a little update and something I noticed. I finished for the most part my psp set, and got it all imported and lookin pretty like in LB/BB

So after syncing withe the cloud thing-a-ma bob, I browsed and noticed that several games did not have any art work/box shots, yet I have shots for

my entire collection. In place of the art it does say why not upload, or something to that affect. Honestly I havent even looked into how yet, but seing as

we must log in anyway, could it not be coded in to allow my to upload right from that empty art-box. I have learned in me old age that if you make things stupidly simple it is more apt to

get done by people.  And in the long run helping us build our db and complete our db's missing/needed art work, Its crazy late so hope this makes sense?

You should play around with the different cores and the frame delay setting to find the right setting for each core. What you wanna do is push the frame delay up until you start hearing audio glitches and crackling. Once you start hearing these crackles drop the frame delay back down 1 or 2 settings and save out the Core Override.

I think would almost make a good tutorial.... Both the reasoning on this and the methodology.  I've never heard anything like this before so tnx for the info to play around with.

  6. How does scanning for added roms work? I am working on gathering a few missing psp games to the collection. after putting them in the same folder as the rest and clicking scan for added

it says no new roms were found? What am I doing wrong here?

  7. I must agree with the Western Digital brand. I have 13 externals, the majority of them are Seagates which I am sloooooowly replacing with WD's.

Reason being is even though at first they seem like a great deal, I don't like how they operate. It is as if they NEVER stop spinning and can get

almost too hot to touch. The few WD's I now own however seem to operate exactly as you would want them too, and never get hot at all.

    Just my 2.5 cents! ;-)

  8. .PBP

It is a single file solution with built in compression for storing your psx iso's in a readily playable

state. And the added bonus of being able to play them directly on you PSP should you happen to own

    one with CFW installed.

Hopefully my description is good. I can reiterate if needed :-)

  9. Has anyone here actually converted their entire PSX set to .pbp

In the process now but man alive is this ever gonna take a long ass time.

Especially since the majority of iso's have multiple bins which need to be

converted to single bin-cue before you can ever start the conversion.....

    BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhh

  10. files were from THE place to get them and 100 % verified.

I the bios files are the same as I ever used? including trying the most current redumps?

I'm stumped. I can run the games through the other core but i was excited to try this

one due to all the graphic tweaking you can do :-/

Sony Playstation - The Beetle / Mednafen software core is great but if you want to do some internal resolution scaling and take advantage of the PGXP features to get rid of texture and polygon wobble the hardware core is the only way to go.

I can not for the bleepin' life of me get this core to work. Is there a trick I am missing?

  12. @bkart

So judging from the previous few post then, (and a quick google ) You should be able to select the entire contents of your folder which you said was already stripped down to just the 300, and drop them onto the launchbox window?

  13. Maniac Mansion and Zac McKracken are 2 of my favs, howeverrrrrrrr They are also easily playable through scummvm.

Also was Impossable Mission, Beach Head, Defender Of the Crown, plus I played and anjoyed almost every game by SSI like Pool of Radiance.

Course I also remember being in awe over something called Geos. hehe Can we say great great grandfather of MS Windows. But then shortly after

I upgraded to the Amiga 500, but these games stick out in my mind.
