  1. Yes they are .hdi. I never said you didn't explain something, I implied that I might have missed something you did explain. I'll watch it again when I can turn the sound on.
  2. Is that this one? If so, yes. Did I miss something obvious?
  3. I recently added the PC-98 Touhou games to my collection and downloaded Neko Project II fmgen to play them. The emulator runs the games fine, but now I'm trying to integrate it into Launchbox. The games imported fine, but when I click them to load, it opens Neko Project II without the game loaded and I have to go through Neko Project II's menu to load the game and then start emulation. I've seen a video where someone was able to load the game and the emulator together but it didn't go into detail how they did it. Has someone figured out how to do this and can explain it please? In case it matters, the executable I'm using to load Neko Project II is np2nt.exe.
  4. Yeah I'm sure the cdi will be its own ball game since the name of the file is not the name of the game so I'll probably have to set custom emulator params per game, but if I can at least get neo geo working I'll be more confident about the general MAME setup.

    Philips CD-i

The issue was probably with my bios zip. I removed it and used ia-mame to grab a new copy for me and I had no further issues. The cyan screen only lasts a couple of seconds now and then it loads to cdi menu.
  6. Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately that alone was not sufficient to get either console working.
  7. I have games from 2 different systems that I launch via MAME - Philips CD-i and SNK Neo Geo. Outside of Launchbox I have no issues running them with MAME, but when I try to use Launchbox to open a game, my mouse spins for about half of a second and then nothing happens. Would someone please correct whatever mistake I am making to cause this issue? My MAME configuration is as follows: default command-line parameters: -skip_gameinfo Don't use quotes - checked No space before ROM - unchecked Use file name only without extension - checked Attempt to hide console window on startup/shutdown - checked Extract ROM archives before running - unchecked Associated Platform | Default Command Line Parameters | Default Emulator Arcade | | checked SNK Neo Geo | neogeo | checked Philips CD-i | cdimono1 | checked

    Philips CD-i

Yes I confirmed that my cdimono.zip file has cd200.rom and cdi220b.rom. I was under the impression, correct me if I'm wrong, that MESS was basically deprecated and has been fully integrated into MAME, and thus if it works in MESS it should work in MAME. If that's wrong, I might try downloading MESS to see if I have better luck with that.

    Philips CD-i

I have been trying to get the Philips CD-i working with MAME and have had no luck. I followed this tutorial: http://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/29631-quick-mamemess-philips-cd-i-tutorial-mame-0-172/. I've tried this tutorial as well:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o83OEvdRfaI but it's pretty outdated. own four games and used chdman to convert them to CHDs. cdimono1.zip is in my roms directory. When I attempt the command line "mame64 cdimono1 -skip_gameinfo <game>" I am greeted by a solid screen of pure cyan. This also occurs if I just try to run "mame64 cdimono1" which presumably should just boot the CD-i BIOS. This leads me to believe that the rom files aren't necessarily the problem. I don't believe that my BIOS files are an issue either, but I could be wrong about that. Has anyone else gotten Philips CD-i to work? If so, will you please share some instructions here to get it working?
