I agree, I think we should only allow .PNG format disc images. That being said , do you know an easy way to make those images transparent? I always have difficulty with cutting out the center of the disc.

I think this issue can be easily fixed by dividing the background images in 2 categories Background - Wallpapers: for all the official wallpapers and promotional images for that specific game, preferably with the company's logo removed. Background - Fanart: for all the images which are at least somewhat related to that specific game Both of these categories must follow rule 9 of the Moderator Guideline. What do you guys think ?

Hello, I recently began to contribute to games DB. In particularly the Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper games for the PS2. But one thing I see is that a lot of PS2 Games have fan art which is related to the series/franchise but not the specific game. For instance, God of War and Medal of Honor: Frontline have fan art of later instances of the series, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy has artwork of Jack 2 and 3 ect ... I personally prefer to only use game specific artwork , like official wallpapers, because they more represent the game in question. But I want to hear what the moderator/contributor consensus is on this matter before I start deleting those images. Thanks
