Hello guys,
As I mentioned in another thread I recently had to do a fresh Windows installation, and I've been running into a few issues with LaunchBox. I still have my old HDD with the LaunchBox folder so I'm using that, and while some things worked out of the gate, stuff like rom paths were a problem that I managed to solve thanks to lordmunkus. However now I've ran into another issue, and I think this is actually RetroArch related since it happens even when I don't use LaunchBox, but I figured I'd ask here because I can't make any threads on the libretro forums yet due to being a brand new member.
The issue is simple, every game I try runs slightly below full speed when I'm using my Plasma TV to play. Some bullet points:
- Games run fine if I'm using my PC monitor.
- This happened with every platform I tested: Snes, Arcade/MAME, CPS1 and 2, and Neo-Geo. Figured this was a large enough sample.
- I have updated all my cores fairly recently, not long before I had to reinstall Windows. The core files are still in their folder so I guess that's not the issue.
- All games run just below their full speed, with audio stuttering/lagging. This is consistent accross every game I tried.
- I've always used this TV to play RetroArch via LaunchBox before I reinstalled Windows and everything always ran beautifully.
- This TV still uses the same HDMI channel with Game Mode activated, nothing has changed on that end.
- My PC still has the same specs, nothing has changed on the hardware front.
- My RetroArch folder is untouched other than being moved to a new directory, same for the LaunchBox folder (except for some rompaths I edited).
I've seen some threads on libretro forums of some people that ran into similar issues, but no real solutions. Some mentioned something about v-sync, but I don't even know where that setting is supposed to be. I think this is PC/Windows related as it happened right after I reinstalled Windows. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
