  1. Hey guys, I'm trying to import a bunch of PS2 games into Launchbox but they're all named SLUS_somethingssomething and launchbox cannot identify them. They load properly, it's just very difficult to know what you're launching. I've tried many PS2 renaming tools online but every once I've come across has failed... one failed to the point where it duplicated some parts of the ROM name so it looks even worse. Is there any way I can get launchbox to identify these properly? It would take a very long time to individually rename each one.
  2. Has anybody had luck with only using a gamepad for Citra? Here's my situation. I start steam link, it sends a magic packet to my computer, I navigate through steam big picture mode to Big Box mode, I select a 3DS game, and it launches. I've managed to hide the console window (thanks Launchbox settings) and I've managed to use specific layouts for controllers via manual config file editing so my controls work. But I still require a mouse and keyboard... I want to make the R3 button on my controller do a CTRL + TAB key combination to swap screens and I want to press start + select to initiate a ALT + F4 to close the emulator. Because steam link forces my controller into a generic XBOX 360 controller setup with Dinput, I can't get Joy2key or xpadder to work, even if I launch them through steam. The last problem (which is a nightmare) is to use a c-stick/joystick to move an emulated mouse, and use L3 as a left click. I've heard of a few 3rd party programs but they need to start up before Citra does while inside of steam link so I'm thinking I need some sort of script. Is what I'm trying to do possible? Please share your success stories with me if you have any! Edit: From what I've researched so far, I should check out antimicro. Perhaps starting that should handle my woes for buttons (if that works) but I'd still like to see what you guys do. Edit #2: Antimicro actually handled the majority of my problems! If I start antimicro before starting Citra, I can use the c-stick as a mouse and have custom keyboard shortcuts like CTRL + TAB to swap screens by pressing R3. I'm going to script this into Launchbox, or have it run when the PC starts and just depend on profiles. I initially wanted start + select to end my games but I couldn't get combinations to work so I'm just holding start for 2 seconds to close now.
  3. Thank you both for your help. I remember seeing another thread where a guy had a problem with 3DO, with it being his command and I scoffed thinking mine was right, but there was an additional space in mine in front. It works now! As for Wii/Dolphin, still no dice, tried both WBFS and ISO. Not even a crash, just nothing happens... very weird. Gamecube is flawless so far. I'll keep tinkering around with CDI but no dice there either. I followed a guide where I entered in those core specific parameters (and I use the yearless mame core exclusive for CDI) but will give mame/mess altirra a spin for the 5200 tomorrow and update my post. You guys are great, thanks again.
  4. Hey guys, I love my big box setup and it's just about done with what I need to do with it. I just wanted to throw a few of my issues out there and see if anybody has a 2017 fix for them. I've googled a bit but haven't had any luck. 5200 - I followed a guide to open them with atari800 but I had no luck. Has anybody yet? 3DO - I can open retroarch and open 3DO roms manually, but they never launch properly from Launchbox or Big Box. They're ISO files... any tips? Bios is there. Wii - Dolphin core works well for Gamecube games but gives me nothing on Wii. Any tips? Phillips CDI - I followed a guide to open them with Mame but no dice. I would appreciate any input, I'm a bit surprised at how obsessive I've been customizing my Big Box Edit -- While I'm starting a topic, I haven't had any luck with the mednafen saturn core either despite having the BIOs files so I'm stuck with Yabause.
  5. Oh, that's awesome. LaunchBoxMedia? I just grabbed an API key and will check that out later tonight. Thanks
  6. Hi folks, I'm loving Big Box mode with a controller on my TV and recently I've been adding in my TV shows/movies into it under a custom media platform. I have quite a bit of media though, and being able to choose a folder instead of having every file right in front of me would be awesome. Does anybody have any awesome workarounds for this? For example, I have all of Dragonball and another TV show. I'd like to choose a folder called "Dragon Ball" and then pick any additional folders, or go through all of the episodes that way. Instead, I go into my media platform and every single episode is listed so it's a bit painful to navigate, even with choosing to skip to a character on the side. Other than that, Launchbox is blowing the pants off of my old emulationstation setup
