Here are all the screenshot taken from the Import Wizard.
Let me know where the problem originates..
I went with select File instead of Folder just to start.
At this point I decided to right on it and click "Open MAME".
You can see below that Centipede and many other games I have are all green and ready to go.
When I clicked on Centipede here, the game loaded just fine.So gentlemen, where exactly did I f*ck up?

But do they load?
Hey guys, believe it or not, I am facing the same bug that I had last week.
I knew this might happen because I change my ROM directories to fit a more logical format like placing them into platforms (Arcade, Atari 2600, etc..) so not big deal right, I was just a small bulk edit from fixing it like last time but nope, it wasn't gonna be that easy for me as you can see in this Centipede screenshot.
The problem I had last time was that I fixed the problem but I still didn't understand why the big was fixed.
- Yes I made sure my game would load in MAME 1st, so the ROM directories in MAME can find the zip files of my roms.
- Yes I deleted everything, closed LB, start it back up, import ROMS, select all my ROM zip files then MAME as the emulator but nope, nothing working.
I deleted not only all the games in LB, I deleted the entire LB and reinstalled it... and nope, no such luck.
So now just to make sure I do it right this time and stop buggin you with this basic stuff, I will do 1 with you and show you all the steps in screnshots.
I will delete everything, platforms, emulators, ROMs, etc... that was setup in LB and try to load Centipede. When this one works, I will load to other games.
So here we go...

aaahhh perfect..
And if I want to play with the wheel curve and the size of the clear logo in the wheel, that's done with hard code right?
-
When you are done with the code, please let me know where I can find the code for the opacity that you have on top of the background because it's making my BG so dark, it's killing it.
This is my BG...
And this is what it looks like when inserted in BB.
I think I could set it to 0 because my BG is so dark that we will be able to read the white description test and see the names of the platforms in the wheel without that opacity.

@MerlinArcade just the reverse of the mocked up screenshot you showed banner below right in 1 inch and details above merlin for just the Games view?
As for the games view, I think I will leave it like it is. It looks nice right now.

@MerlinArcade give me a bit and ill see what i can do will upload tomorrow night as am working on a theme at the moment will write name of file as well
Alright cool.
Like I just posted, this is what it would look like with the logo on the bottom row and details on top left.
Kinda cool for a Vertical Theme.
-
On second thought, let's move the arcade logo to the bottom row and move the description text to the upper left where it's darker and easier to read.

nice
Yeah it looks cool.
Btw, I will rename it Vertical Maddoc1007 since you are the one who created this theme.
One more and final favor from you. This is what it looks like right now...
And this is what I would like to do with it.
Basically, move the arcade logo about 1 inch (100 px) to the right and then move the description details in the bottom right row.
Please let me know the name of the file that you changed in case I want to edit it even further.
Thanks again man

@MerlinArcade as for a single default image for each Platform View or each Game Views in BigBox i'm afraid there is no way to set a single default image.
Well... looks like I found a way haha.
If you go to the Images folder then Platforms and finally 1 of your platform like Arcade here, you can see a sub folder called "Device". If you place only the BG in that folder, it will only show for that platform so I had to copy my BG into the "Device" folder of Atari 2600 platform too.
As you can see, it works.
Oh yeah, 1 more thing. If you want to see a BG image in the Arcade Platform, you will have to rename or delete the Arcade.mp4 video with the red curtains and tv sets that we have standard for that platform.

Ok nevermind the clear logo question above, I found the bug.
It looks like that if you go with "All Game" instead of "All Platforms", BB decides to load box covers in the horizontal wheel as you can see above.
However, if you go with "All Platforms" then suddenly when you enter the Arcade platform, BB shows clear logos instead of box covers in the horizontal wheel.
Gotta learn how to put my Merlin background in the back of these games instead of letting BB show clear logos in the background of each game too like we see here.
If anybody knows what to do please let me know.

Hi Maddoc,
Sorry. been busy these past few days. Time to get back on our little project.
I downloaded your files and named it Default Vertical but I still have 2 little bugs.
1- As I posted in my last post, I still see box covers in the wheel below and not the clear logos.
This is the screenshot of my BB options >> views section just in case the bug would come from there..
2- Next, regarding having my Merlin background in BB I went to that section you talked about here Tools>>Options>>Images...
And that's what I got...However, my background does appear in the back but in Launchbox and not in the background of BigBox.
Rights now I still see the clear logo of Dig Dug as the game background and not my Merlin BK. Hope you follow me here..
So where can I go in BB to do what I just did for LB and make my Merlin logo in the background of BB too for BOTH the platforms and games list?
Thanks again,
Merlin

My friend you are the best...
In the default theme, if I select a new game in the wheel, for some games, I can see a specific background for that game and sometimes it's just the clear logo enlarged.
What I decide to drop the big Merlin in space background and go with the default background change per game, what will I have to do? Just leave it blank?
Thanks again

i see what i can comeup with tomorrow
Alright thanks
I will analyze other theme just to see if I can find something similar
At least I know that it is possible because faeran showed me that screenshot a few days ago with the curved horizontal wheel using clear logos and not box covers so that's a nice start.

@MerlinArcade do you want the background art and video tilted otherwise it will be the same as the default vertical theme with them out of proportion
I'm not sure yet because I kinda like the default theme too but a background is easy to change.
I struggle mostly with the displaying of the rows and columns. The rest is just gravy.

@MerlinArcade If there what your after i will do the rest of the default theme for you tomorrow
They look good but the info it tilted 90 degrees too. I thought the frames would turn but the info would stay horizontal. Oh well, this xaml is wayyy much more complex then the good old HTML I know. hehe.
Give me 2 minutes and I will post a screenshot of what I want...

@MerlinArcade Try these two views but you'll have to try them on a vertical monitor they look like your pic
Thanks, I will check them out now go to bed :-D hehe

@MerlinArcade Unless you have visualstudio it will be very difficult for you but if you do a mockup of the 2 views you want and give me a week i will try to create those 2 views for you hows that?
Sounds good but just because I like this challenge I will try to move those frames around like so. I just need to turn the blue game list column into a row. Who knows, maybe you will make it work before me.

Forget it, it was an error in GameDetailsView.xaml that I edited earlier on. When I deleted it and brought back the original, the error msg went away.
Ok, one last question. Since I want a vertical theme, I need to move frames around.
So let's take your superman screenshot here. How would go to rotate every frames to the left so that the clear logos on the game list on the left now appears as the bottom row.
I guess now the game wheel would become a row (ex:row #3) instead of column #1 or something like that.
Am I getting warmer here? :-D

@MerlinArcade Here are the 2 Views with borders around them you notice the Grid Column And Grid Row References in the code above the elements paste them into your theme and overwrite the files make copies of the originals first.
Thanks I did copied the default theme and them edited the 2 pages but couldn't get to show more than 1 white frame. Now I overwritten my 2 pages with yours and see 4 white blocks but I see an error pop up. :-D
Something on line 9 and 35 so I guess that was your border line code.

@MerlinArcade ....you should never change the Default Theme, instead you should make a copy of the default theme and paste it in the Theme Folder.
Yeah I know that. :- D It's not for editing permanently, it's just to add frames and then remove them back as soon as I'm done. Also, I always make a copy the page I want to edit before I edit it. When I will see those damn frames in the default theme then I will copy the entire theme and start editing.
