Ok what I have just found out is if I add the roms (snes) and tell it to use snes9x as the emulator instead of RA all the games play and that's if I add 1 or 100 roms So I must be missing a setting in RA somewhere any clues anyone ?

Yes Michael , but the games play but only if I add them 1 at a time

Hi guys Would love some help/advice, I am new to LB and have followed a few videos but still keep getting stuck , the main problem I have is adding games It seems I can only add 1 game at a time , I go to import and add files I choose the roms I need , in this case its for the NES , I then choose Retroarch and it adds the roms and gets the box art etc The problem then is when I click on a game to run nothing happens , Now if I do the above but only choose 1 rom it goes through the motions and that game will play fine when I click on it It's only when I choose to import more then 1 rom at a time I have the issue So come on guys what am I doing wrong ? I have tried snes too and that does the same , I have completely removed LB and RA and reinstalled but with no luck

Hi guys , sorry to be a real pain but I still cannot get Colecovisiom to work here is what I have done so far .... 1. Downloaded MAME 0183 2. Downloaded a complete MAME 0183 Split romset (54Gb) 3. Placed the romset into the MAME rom folder 4. Started LB and added a new platform , pointed it too the Colecovision folder in the rom set 5. Set MAME as the emulator Now when I look in the Colecovision rom folder its showing 220 roms but all that EB finds and sets up is just 57 of them , when I try to play any of those 57 I briefly get the mame screen and it says " Initializing " and then dumps back to the main EB screen I have added a few screen shots of my settings etc , could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong ?

So the games have to go into the mame roms folder too ? I just added the roms like what was shown in the video and I left the files in there original location So are you saying that if I download a spilt set that will include the bios I need ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Thank for the links, I tried to follow the Colecovision video but got as far as adding the bios , I also have the latest merged 184b mame rom set but the colecovision folder does not contain any he bios rom I then tried to download the bios from another site , but not exactly sure where I should be placing it ? I tried putting into the empty roms folder in my mame folder but none of the games work Not sure if I have the right bios file and if I'm putting it in the right location My head hurts now Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

OK forgot that , I had not downloaded the core via Retroarch Master system now working So is it worth trying for the 5200 or is it a no go ?
-
Ok I did what you said with the 7800 and it now works a treat thank you so much
-
Ok will do that , thank you in the mean time I have added the Sega Master System , and that is doing exactly the same as the 7800 , I click on a game and I can hear the game start but the screen does not change , I can hear the game running but cannot see it
-
How do I do that ? I am so sorry for what must be very silly questions
-
Sorry yes I ubderstand now , I had deleted them to try again the screenshots I showed where the ones that you get when you are adding a new platform , I was just showing the Retroarch setting right before it added the platform name on the left
-
Not quite sure what you mean , I thought I have added the platform and games to Launchbox ? if its too much trouble I wont bother with them and just add the ones that do work without much bother Is there a list of all the platforms that do work with no problems with Launchbox ?

Hi DOS76 I have just looked and the command is already .... command to -L "cores\prosystem_libretro.dll"
-
Hi , thank you so much for your reply I have just been looking at some videos about MESS , and yes as you say it does look quite tricky to set up My 7800 games run via Retroarch outside of Launchbox no problem , its when I try to play them through Launchbox I get the problem of I can her the game but not see it , I just get the normal screen showing all the games including the one I have selected

Hi everyone, I'm new here and have downloaded launchbox and installed RetroArch, I went ahead and added Atari 2600 as my first platform I added my roms and it went off and got the box art etc and it all worked fine , every game I tried played brilliantly I then went ahead and added the Atari 5200 as my next platform, again I added the roms but I cannot get the games to play , I click on the game and nothing happens, I then tried the 7800 and that does the same I will say although I cannot remember which system it was but either the 5200 or 7800 when a game was clicked I think I could here the game start ( I could here game music ) can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong ?
